Pictorial Memorial
For those of us that will be attening the 'Vegas Baby' reunion, there will be some of our siblings that have passed on to the 'other side' that will not be able to attend. I suggest that we may set up a table to place photo's of our siblings while we are celebrating. I hope and think that they may be there in Spirit!
Question of the Week
Since Juls told us that she was rocking out at the Police concert this weekend, here is my question of the week. What was the last fun thing you've done that shows you're still that wild and crazy kid that grew up in Dean's Circle?
Got Stung by the Police this weekend
I had a wonderful opportunity to go see the Police in Phoenix this weekend! Wow can those guys rock the house! They were so professional and precises! Oh, and I saw Elvis Costello too, I had no idea how much I would enjoy this concert!

Skeletons found under swimming pool on Guam.
The wife and I were driving to Lake Placid today when we heard on a local FM Radio news station that about 58 skeletons were discovered while construction crews were removing a swimming pool on Guam. Any of you locals hear anthing about this? And if this story is true, was it the Agana swimming pool that was being dismateled?

Each design can be voted on and the design with the highest amount of votes will be recommended to the U.S. Mint. Votes will be collected until June 14, 2008.
"I encourage all residents to take part in the selection process," Governor Camacho said. "The Guam quarter will be a lasting symbol of our heritage and our people."

Crossroads?
I hear people refer to Guam as the cross roads of the Pacific, but I usually refer to it as the arm pit. Now don't get me wrong, its got nothing to do with Guam itself only its geographic location. If you can imagine putting Guam in your arm pit then just about any destination on the pacific rim is at your finger tips.
I'm off island for the weekend.

RAC'man's Sabbatical
To all you that religiously read this 'blog', you must know by now that the 'RAC'meister' has gone on sabbatical. He is probably secretly filming some 'survival show' (too replace the 'Survival Guy show') somewhere in Utah, or chasing a 'Big Foot' with his cell phone video cam. (I can see him doing that).
I was just educated that he has several children, a wife, and two x-wifes. (I too would be chasing Bigfoot if I had 2 x-wifes!. I have an 'X' myself. The snowy mountains are looking great every time I hear from her).
In the RAC'mans absents, I believe that he would want each and every one of you 'Dean's Circle Blogsters' to post as often as you can to fuel this fire.
Pretend that you are in the 'bus stop' and write away as you used to 'talk away'!

The Chamorro Boonie Pepper Garden
An old Chamorro man who lived alone in Inarajan
wanted to dig over his Boonie pepper garden,
but it was very hard work as the ground was hard.
His only son, Vicente, who used to help him,
was in the Guam 'Penn'.
The old man wrote a letter to his son and
described his predicament.
Dear Vicente,
I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won't be able to plant
my boonie peppers this year.
I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot.
I know if you were here my troubles would be over. I know you would
Be happy to dig the plot for me.
Love, Dad
A few days later he received a letter from his son.
Dear Dad,
Don't dig up that garden.
That's where I buried the bodies!
Love, Vicente
At 4 a.m. The next morning, FBI agents and
local police arrived and
Dug up the entire area without finding any bodies.
They apologized to the old man and left.
That same day the old man received another letter from his son!
Dear Dad,
Go ahead and plant the peppers now. That's the best I could do
From here.

Best hour I ever spent alone!
Got off work, came home and to find that I was alone. My wife was at a High School track meet, and I no longer have a dog to play with. So I went to the fridge, cracked open an ice cold brewski and began reading this blog...but in reverse, from the beginning to present postings. Better than reading a novel. Try it some time, you'll be glad you did! :)

Larsoooon!
Pete and Dan where are you? Do you remember this? "Come to the party, Come to the birfday party" Come to Vegas Baby!
This was us, I think?
Don't want to steal from no one's thunder, ...but, wasn't the 'bus stop' , the 'Rock at Pago bay', and the 'Cruz store', basically the back bones of our lives back then? OK, and maybe High School football too?
And reflecting on memories of Guam: Dan, Amy, Alice, Desi, Jinny, Pete, Sam, Dean, & Johnny B., where are you guys and gals? Drop us a line now and then!

Gulf of Mexico Sunken Treasure
This link will bring you up to date on what the Munson brothers do with their spare time (and money). This has been my brother's passion (or should I say obsession) ever since we left Guam in '75. It all started with diving the Tokai Maru and Jap Zero etc. This find will probably get him back to broke. Real life (wife, kids, mortgage etc.) separated me from this adventure about 5 years ago. A sad story indeed (for me) but a great story of perseverance for my brother.

Moving
After painting, cleaning, packing, and moving every day for the past week and a half (I'm still not done..lol)I have a new found admiration for any of you (RAC) who has moved more than a couple of times in their adult lives. I've also discovered that I have too much stuff (junk) and have seriously considered several times during the past week chucking it all but a small suitcase and going to live in a grass hut somewhere...lol.
Okay so...
Gas is now $4 something a gallon back on the old homestead. I would like to propose a little contest, just in the spirit of competition and in the interest of promoting good sportsmanship. You know, just like our games back on the island.
I would like to have an over/under competition on what gas prices will be on 7/25 ON THE ISLAND. Guess a per gallon price and the person farthest away from the actual per gallon cost on 7/25 "loses".
Loser has to run up and down the hall of the hotel in his boxers loudly proclaiming "Pickled papaya is the ultimate aphrodisiac" or somesuch. You can use your imagination. Compared to some of our antics back in the day this is really quite tame, "barely" worthy on note actually.

6.7 quake jolts Guam
HAGATNA, Guam - An undersea earthquake off Guam with a preliminary magnitude of 6.7 shook the U.S. territory Saturday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
There were no reports of damage or injuries. A magnitude-6 earthquake can cause severe damage.
The quake failed to generate any destructive, widespread tsunami, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Honolulu.

Woman pregnant with 18th child
This crazy ass family photo is now a little out dated. If you're not familier with these people they are the Duggar's out of Arkansas. A box of condoms would probably make a very nice Mothers Day gift.
Only for us 'middle age aging guys'!
What is up with all this this hair growing out of our noses and ears? I could not wait to start growing hair on my face when I was 16. But I never expected to use a trimmer to clip my ears and nose hairs in my middle 40's? 2nd puberty?

So, who is the crazy one?
I was walking bas the Mental Hospital the other day. The patients were yelling, "13........13.........13........13".
The fence was too tall for me to look over, so finding a knot hole, I looked through to see what the ruckus was about.
Some crazy loon stuck me in the eye with a stick, and they all started yelling..................

Pool Party at Cindy's New House
The house was a major bargain...a foreclosure.. (I'm doing my part to stimulate the economy). Around 1900 sq feet under air, 3 bedrooms, 2 bath, an office,Has all tile and Pergo floors, Corian counter tops, ceiling fans in every room, plantation shutters on the all windows, privacy fence (for skinny dipping without shocking the neighbors). I feel very blessed and excited to call it home.
My granddaughter Katie was the first one to try out the pool..me painting the kitchen yesterday...the great room with built-in entertainment center..front of house.
What to do....IR$ Rebate or '$timulu$' Check!!!
Dear Friends,
The following information is being sent to help you decide how to spend your IR$ Rebate Check wisely.
Many of us soon will also get a rebate ¢heck to '$timulate' the economy.
If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China.
If we spend it on gasoline, it will go to the Arabs.
If we purchase a computer, it will go to India.
If we purchase fruit and vegetables, it will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala.
If we purchase a good car, it will go to Japan.
If we purchase useless stuff, it will go to Taiwan.
Therefore, none of the above will help the American economy.
We need to keep that money here in America, so spend it at yard sales.

Who do you think will win over Guam?
As you can see live, they're waiting for the counting to be done. I'm ecstatic that we ,way out here ,mean something in the big picture:)

Battle in Guam
Clinton, Obama Fight Long-Distance
It would seem that Guamanians wouldn't care much about the US presidential election this year since although Guamanians are US citizens, they can not vote in the elections. However, there are several Democrat delegates in Guam that hold some clout with Democratic presidential elections. Check out the whole story:

Little Johnny and the Elephant
Little Johnny was five years old and just learning to read.
He and his mother were reading a book on animals when he pointed at one page and cried, "Look, Mommy! It's a frickin' elephant!"
His mother took a deep breath and said, "What did you say?"
"It's a frickin' elephant, Mama! Look! It says so right here!"
And sure enough, there in big bold letters it read "African Elephant."

POTW
The Great Global Warming Race, or is it Junk Science?
An email from my mother today told me about the snow she received on her roof overnight. DRL also told me that there was new snow at his place this morning. Today in Arizona a cool front came through and lowered the temperatures 5-10 degrees lower than normal for this time of year. With all the so called "climate change" going around, I thought it would be interesting to have everyone post their thoughts.
Check this out for one side of the debate:

Conspiracy Central
Police in Florida today announced that a woman believed to be the 'D.C. Madam' has committed suicide. The body was found in a shed near her mother's Tarpon Springs home. Of course, as a self described conspiracy nut, I had to wonder how many times she shot herself in the back of the head.
