Haha good post Dave. Send me a copy of your book when you finish it. We are all addicted to the adrenalin rush of surviving the rock. Everything after that has been kinda slow.
Impressive word smithery there my brother. I think Matt makes a good point. We lived life on a precarious edge. It's something of a miracle that we all survived. Think about it: Near daily swims in the water tower. And that was one hell of a view from up there. Scaling the Science Building. Exploring the caves at pago. Traversing the length of Deans Circle in the drain system. And of course our iconic & beloved rock. We tempted fate almost daily and were openly derisive of those that didn't, or wouldn't. You are right that it engendered what is now a far flung but forever connected by trial brother/sisterhood of survivors. By the time we could see puberty in the rear view we had experienced shit most could only imagine. And fewer would attempt. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Nice to hear from you. Vote Libertarian.
