Good bye Wendy, DC neighbor and friend
It is always sad to lose a friend or acquaintance; even more so when someone from your teen age-era passes on, and being from an island out in the pacific during the 70s, her name was Wendy. Those of us that knew her will remember how she became a part of our lives, and how quickly time goes by

Mrs. Beverly Larson
Another of the Dean's Circle Moms has passed on into her time of Rest, finally some peace and quiet.
She was survived by Chris, David, Pete, Dan, Jin and Tom.. not sure how she managed with that bunch alone.. not to mention having 19 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.. plus another 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren by family extension. She was a teacher, and there are still many of her students making a living out there because of her dedication to her profession. Bev had a good life and many friends, she lived in Guam for many years beginning in 1965 when we first arrived there to begin our journey into the jungle. My mom was kind and generous, but solid as a rock in her faith and belief in an eternal God. Being an only child, she sure ended up with a multitude of brothers and sisters. One thing I realize now that the parents are gone is that us children are now standing at the head of the line.. waiting and biding our time to follow where she has gone.
Best wishes to our Dean's Circle Family, and to your surviving parents, may health find them well.

The Day After a Big Election
Maybe, just Maybe, our country still has a chance to prosper...
but only time will tell. Hope all of you Dean's Circle citizens will
prosper as well, and that good health will find you and keep you
moving in a positive direction. Best wishes to all of you going forward...

The Sourthern Command Post
This summer I moved my family from New Hampshire to Texas. We're just NW of Dallas in a suburb called Flower Mound. I'm not sure anyone else is in these parts (though maybe Desi or her kids from time to time) but give me a ring if you are. I have to practice my Southern hospitality.

Under the Radar, in Stealth Mode
Has anybody heard from Doug lately? I haven't seen hide nor hair of him and was hoping he may have contacted someone.. I no longer have a working phone number or email address for him.

Family Update
Hi All, it's been forever since I've posted on here. Just wanted to let you know that my sister Pat is in the ICU at Cape Coral Hospital, on a ventilator and not doing very well. Her many years of not taking care of herself have taken a toll, not really unexpected but still not easy to deal with, especially for her boys. I wanted everyone to know, I know you all love and care about her and will keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

ahem...cough
Remember the number by the Who where the words go...meet the new boss, same as the old boss...
Well damned if that don't apply. That, along with everyone's favorite 8th grade literature reading selection Orwell's 1984.
So the new boss, along with greatly expanding the previous occupants Patriot Act infringement on 4th amendment guarantees, is now, under the auspices of the NSA (prism software) reading every e-mail, blog post and cell phone call you make. All to make us "safe". They're not even denying it anymore. They only say "you have nothing to worry about if you have nothing to hide". Riightt.
Oh & now we have boots on the ground in Jordan. Yep 1,000 marines from the 24th Marine Expeditionary Force are there now. On the Syrian border. To preserve peace. I guess fubaring Iraq wasn't good enough. But hey War is peace.
Gotta' go but to any taxpayer funded intrepid, enterprising voyeur out there kindly allow me this sentiment.
Blow me.

Juliet, how are things in Egypt?
From what I can see through sources other than the mainstream news, it looks like it is either about the same (meet the new boss, same as the old boss) as before, or actually much worse.

Missile Systems Deployed to Guam
Missiles to Guam
The Pentagon said on Wednesday it was sending an advanced ballistic missile defense system to Guam in the coming weeks, as U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel cited a "real and clear" danger from North Korea.
