Very nice shot! We got up at 6:30 am on the east coast to watch the aclipes. But it was sinking into the western horizon as the eclipse was starting. We missed out, but thanks for the photo!

Yep, moon set too soon for it to be seen on the eastern seaboard. The farther west you were the better the view. Next lunar eclipse for us I think is in 2014. (If there is a 2014)
One of these days what I really want to see is a solar eclipse.
Another one for the old bucket list.

We had a solar eclipse here in the summer one year. It was rather disappointing. I thought the sky would turn to night but actually it just seemed like a really over caste day for a while.

Paul that is a great photo and what luck to have such clear skies. You live a charmed life.

Cool!
I remember my dad waking me up in the very
early, dark morning at #3 Dean's Circle, going out back cliff-side and showing
me the Comet (IT WAS BIG AS EVER...IT WOKE ME UP...It was a classic looking comet!) Kohoutek!
