Eh Chris....

Why do you keep taking all your good posts off the blog? A lot of people spend a lot of time writing their comments about your sycho guitar solos and pan-am 707 viking ships, plus the ones that show the family and da truck...whassssup? Its not like we'll run out of space in the archives any time soon. If and when we do, RAC will work his blog guru magic and clean it up.
It is a free country and all if you must un-blog the blog, but I would like to be able to go back and re-read some of your older stuff once in a while...especially listening to those screamin guitar solos cranked up to 280 decibals. Keep em coming bro!

What songs that you hear remind you of Guam?

Every time hear these songs on the radio: 'Fox on the run', 'Little littleWillie' (both by Sweet), 'Your so Vain', and any song by the Beach Boys, brings me back to Guam. Does any one else have a song that they hear that brings them back to the 'Rock'?

The Islands....

All of creation is happy

Okay, I am not a Phototogripher. It is fuzzy, so look out your own window.
Pat, Cindy and Robert this is for you.
Pat told us all to "Be happy". I have noticed for the past few mornings, just out my bedroom window as I wake up, the Moon is a huge SMILE.
We and everything is happy!

1st Jobs

When Johnny posted some old pics with his song he made me remember that the second real job that I ever had was working at the Townhouse Dept Store. I worked in the fabric and sewing notions dept. My dad never let me drive at night until I got that job, then he was forced to let me. I was the only howlie working there at the time. The ladies all felt sorry for me cause I'd bring a boring sandwich to eat and they always had rice, and other good stuff which they often shared.

My first real job was a a camp counselor at the USO Summer Day Camp. I was 15 and the youngest counselor they hired. I had the 6 yr olds. It was a fun job teaching swimming and crafts. I'll always remember this really cute rolly polly Japanese kid I had. I tried all summer to teach him just how to float on his back. His mom would send him so much food in his lunch, he would eat it all, then get sick, every day. Poor little guy.

I also remember one of my most embarrassing moments that summer. I always wore my bikini top under my shirt. Well for some reason one day I didn't and when we went to go for swimming lessons, I pulled off my shirt as usual and all the kids starting screaming...I looked down and was standing in front of them all with just my bra on...lol..hopefully no one was traumatised for life.

Did any one else ever go to that USO summer camp? My parents sent us the first couple of years we lived on Guam, wanted us to learn to swim. They always had the best hamburgers there ( somehow I always seem to remember stuff related to food..hahaha)

Welcome to Sam Sparks

Long time no see. Its great to have you on the blog. Hope to see Dean come along soon.
Post some pictures of yourself, Dean and Joanna. Thanks........

2 down, 2 to go...

We have Alice and Pat now, soon Nancy and Wendy.

Missing Chris?

Wasn't there a guy named Chris, lived in the second or third house on the top of the circle for a year or so. He was maybe a year or two older. Always got into fights at BJHS. His only rival there seemed to be Norma Thacker.

I remember his house always smelled of incense and scented candles.

RAC, come out of hiding

Robert, have you been busy with that Thai chick from Salt lake? Come on and crack a few good one liners! Got a rough work week ahead, need some laughs dude!

happy halloween

Stephanie Trail

We would tease her "Stephanie Booger Trail" as we rode by her on our bikes, and she would stomp the (POOP) out of you if she caught you. She lived next to us when we moved in.

The Robinsons,(Wrong Island DRL), moved in after the Stephanie. lived near us before we moved to the circle.

I don't remember her first name or why we teased her either. She used to play with My sister Jin, at times. however she didn't come out much.

I remember Her mother had gone back to the states. and one afternoon after school I could heard her weeping and crying, very loudly, for her mommy. I think she found a "dear John" letter or something. It was sad. My mother went over to see what was wrong. She usually was home all alone after school until her dad got home.
Everytime I hear "Mrs. Robinson" by Simon and Garfunkle, I think of her.

Ya, Ric, we have some wrongs to make right with that girl.
