Congratulations President Obama!
You are well on the way to returning slavery to America. For, when man is forced to labor without the benefitting from his labor, that is slavery. Your oft-imitated President Lincoln would surely be proud of you.
my big ole cat
He killed a big ugly roach this morning, and laid it there next to him like a trophy. he has been knighted as king of the house, slayer of all roaches.

"HAFA YOURSELF a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!" from the Jaquettes
My family and I sing this song every Christmas,
Verse AND Chorus! Tradition...pass it on.
I learned it at elementary school at PC Lujan!
JUNGLE BELLS:
'Here we are on Guam, without a chance of snow!
Where the trade-winds go, a typhoons sure to blow!
Santa and his sleigh, if the tropics will allow,
instead of driving 8 reindeers, he rides a carabao!
CHORUS:
OH...JUNGLE BELLS, coconut shells,
sticker-burrs all the way!
Oh what fun it is to ride in a carabao-cart today, HEY!'
JUNGLE BELLS, coconut shells,
sticker-burrs all the way!
Oh what fun it is to ride in a carabao-cart today!'

New old freinds?
For those that used to live in Harmon, the Elliott kids (Nancy, Meiko and Ken) have contacted me. If anyone remembers the Elliott family let me know and I'll try get them on the blog. They moved from Harmon to Carlos Heights in the early 70s. The father (Gordon) was quite good at making Guitars.

ABC News with Charlie Gibson
Okay so I'm watching the 6:00 news with Charlie Gibson and it goes to commercial and usually it's a commercial like Cialis or Crestor or some other dope that they're pushing but this time the commercial is, and I swear I am not making this up...
"This segment of ABC News brought to you by the Department Of Health & Human Services."
Now I admit I might at times come across as someone with a radical viewpoint as it pertains to Federal government infringement on and intervention into personal freedoms. Simply put, I have long believed that government is pretty much out to bone me. And every other inhabitant of that sub economic strata known for now as the middle class.
At best they are a necessary evil. They should be monitored at all times. Closely.
Charged with the responsibility of keeping government at least a teeny weeny bit honest is the media. At least that's what I think we were told as we sat, red eyed and disinterested in American Government 101. Well, that and an informed and involved citizenry. Okay so one out of two ain't bad but anyways.
It's possible that I am being paranoid but how exactly are we to expect broadcast media to be a watchdog of government when they in fact are taking large amounts of advertising revenue from that same government ?
That's not even the worst part. They're not even trying to hide it. They are freely admitting that they are taking advertising money from one of the largest domestic consumers of Federal tax dollars in Washington. It's like they're saying you people out there are so dimwitted we can say whatever we want. Hey so who cares that we have compromised our credibility in regard to our responsibility to protect the governed. We need the money, screw ya if you can't take a joke.
Stay tuned for Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Brought to you in part by your friends at The Federal Reserve.
Yeesh.
