Stephanie Trail

We would tease her "Stephanie Booger Trail" as we rode by her on our bikes, and she would stomp the (POOP) out of you if she caught you. She lived next to us when we moved in.

The Robinsons,(Wrong Island DRL), moved in after the Stephanie. lived near us before we moved to the circle.

I don't remember her first name or why we teased her either. She used to play with My sister Jin, at times. however she didn't come out much.

I remember Her mother had gone back to the states. and one afternoon after school I could heard her weeping and crying, very loudly, for her mommy. I think she found a "dear John" letter or something. It was sad. My mother went over to see what was wrong. She usually was home all alone after school until her dad got home.
Everytime I hear "Mrs. Robinson" by Simon and Garfunkle, I think of her.

Ya, Ric, we have some wrongs to make right with that girl.

Halloween from NY Hudson Valley - Ric Larson

Happy Halloween
~From Ric

Pictures from the 'Great Pumpkin Blaze'

100's of 1000's of carved, glowing pumpkins.

These are carved pumpkins, really!

KZ1300

In 1981 this was the fastest six cylinder on the planet...150+ MPH, no broken legs, no bruised ribs, no sprained neck, no sprained ankles, no sprained wrist, un-impacted vertebrae, no bleeding kidneys, and no grin on my face...to keep the bugs the out of my teeth.

Last time Dave road it, he set a land speed jump record (300 Ft @ 120 MPH), and lived to tell about it. The look on his face..."you should of told me about those railroad tracks"!!!

Anthropologist of the future

I was told by one of them minds behind "THIS" madness, that this Blog will last as long as Google exists.

I can just imagine some pointy head (I know all of our parents had something to do with acadamia) will find this, and study its contents.

What God did they serve? Who was there leader? Why such a violent society? Why such a draw from the male to the female (if this anthropologist is male, this question will be excluded)? How was any productive work done, to promote the furthurance of society? Where are they buried? What toys did they play with (never mind)? What kind of ofspring was produced form such a segment of society, and how many are filling the present day penal system?

I don't know why my mind works through such things?

Anyone recognize this guy??

Mat Kalb's pictures

A cow named MUNGNER

There was this cow that lived behind the Larsons house and when he mooed he sounded like his
name.I remember we would throw all kinds of things at this cow from the Larsons junk pile(the
EPA should have declared this pile a superfund site). One day Chris and I were cutting down and mowing the grass back there for the infamous dirt track when I felt a bullet fly by my ear.Thats
right I felt it because the mower was too loud.I looked around and Chris was gone!I began screaming like a little girl for Chris and he was on his back porch yelling at me to get up and run.
I guess the guy that owned the cow had finally had enough of us harassing it. Shit this guy was seriously trying to kill us!some of you have commented about driving the car that broke in half back there but thats my memory.hahaha
sam,how are you bro?long time no see,why you never call, write, or nothing your my best man.
get on and tell some stories.

Where is Kelley Jewell

My brother Sean said her name is Kelley Jewell. The girl I was trying to remember who lived next to the Kalbs. He said he could not forget her, they were married. It did not last long, thats what happens when you marry at the age of 10.
I should have got her on the rebound!
Last Sean heard, she was still on the Island, Married a local. Mabey someone can run her down. She should know that I still have th hots for her too.

Must be Something Wrong

Hey Johnny, check out this Logo

Excuse Me Pat.....

I may be old and chicken shit, but those were genuine crayola "washable" markers we used.

Clay Copeland??

OK, I'm tryin to remember here. Clay Copeland lived next to Jonses', on the left , Correct?
And.. Clay had a little sister, name Kay, or Karren..? Am I right, or way off?

and before I go back to reality...

What was the name of the people who lived one house up the street from Sparks. We used to play with a girl named Karen. Cant remember the last name. Karen had two older borthers, they were pretty cool.
The Postards lived there before. Until I beat up Tony, then they moved.

Why do I remember all the girls names??

Mr Truck Driver Man

Rod took me and the kids for a ride in his Rig. That's one smooth machine.

Time to Even the Score

We were willing to sacrafice with great pain, just to make Robert feel better. I Hope it worked.

Look Robert, No Scars!

We think Robert may have been hallucinating when he thought that Rod and I had actually burned our arms with a hot metal object. See...no scars!

Johnny..I love the CD

I just got Johnny’s CD Chamoru Dreams in the mail today. It’s terrific! Listening to it makes me feel like I’m on a tropical beach, sitting under a swaying palm, watching the surf. I think I’m alone but I look to my right and I see someone coming up the beach towards me, shoulder length long hair gently swinging as he walks, suntan oil shining on his brown chiseled body, oops…….sorry, forgot where I was for a moment………

the last track on the CD " I Will Always Remember You" is especially poignant considering all that has happened with this blog.

Before and After

We had a great vist. One of us drank beer, the other Kona coffee. Both of us got buzzed.

Relevant Humor

Many of us are guilty of looking at others our own age and thinking, "Surely, I can't be that old". If you've ever done this, then you'll appreciate the following.

I was sitting in the waiting froom for my first appointment with a new dentist. I noticed his DDS diploma, which bore his full name. Suddenly, I remembered a tall, handsome, dark-haired boy with the same name had been in my high school class some 30-odd years ago. Could he be the same guy that I had a secret crush on way back then?

Upon seeing him, however, I quickly discarded any such thought. This balding, grey-haired man with the deeply lined face was way too old to have been my classmate. After he examined my teeth, I asked him if he had attended George Washington High School.

"Yes. Yes, I did. I'm a Gecko," he gleamed with pride.
"When did you graduate?" I asked.
"In 1975," he replied. "Why do you ask?"
"You were in my class!" I exclaimed.

He looked at me closely ... and then that ugly, old, bald, wrinkled, fat ass, grey-haired decrepit SOB asked, "What did you teach?"
