I am a diver too. Got my NAUI certificationin 1977 at Coral Reef Marine Center. My instructor was Richard Ollis. I owned, then, a set of twin-50 aluminums...which was the hot thing to have then.

No diving here in California though. Too freakin' cold.

Cooool, I also certified MAUI in 77 at Coral Reef Marine. I can't remember the instructor name, but he had a blue chevy blazer. I was to young to drive, so he shuttled me.
Yes, I too havent dove in more than 20 years. Cal was not just too cold, but nothing to see after the tropic and sub tropic islands.

I still say my ride rocks, ha

Right on Dave! We're both Alumni of 1977 Coral Reef Marine Center's NAUI Program. Maybe we were in the same class?

Hey I got certified with NAUI/PADI in 1979 in a dive class at UOG that I took with Dr. Robert Rogers. Sam Sparks was in it and he always carried my tank. Thanks Sam. The funny thing is there was no date on my card and it is still valid out here. But I never dive anymore. I still snorkle and I have to say the Red Sea is as crowded as Cairo. I have never seen so many different fish at one time anywhere. The biggest Turkey fish, Stone fish and little blue and yellow spotted sting rays.
