There's scads of stuff for which to be thankful. Indoor plumbing, velcro, self adhesive stamps, microwave ovens, jack daniels, I could go on but I'll sum it up with gratitude for memory of growing up in a place few would imagine and fewer would understand.

We just have some remnants of leftovers and
it's crazy to see living rooms with Christmas trees
already!!!
I should start telling every1 HAPPY NEW YEAR now!
Yes the social pressure to get the house ready for Christmas is enormous. I still have to shovel out a spot in the living room to resurrect our tree in. We do not even know if we will stay here for Christmas. I have two artificial trees that I bought more than twenty years ago. They are not pre lit and each little branch needs to be straitened and shaped so you can imagine how I keep putting the whole tree thing off. I will post some pictures of the local tree selections and then you all will get why I still battle the ancient artificial one. Some day I am going to have one of those newfangled prelit, pre-shaped Christmas trees.
