Political correctness sucks....

It's so sad that our society has shunned away from our founding father's and Christian values. When some one says to me "Happy Holiday's", I always respond...and "Merry Christmas to you". This is by the way...Christmas time, right? The response I usually get is unsettling. But then again I live in New York. (Wonder what Jesus feels about all of this)?

I have never understood how anyone could be offended by what would seem to be an innocuous greeting.
If someone were to wish me Happy Hannukah or Good Kwaanza or even Freaky Festivus I would take it in the sentiment I believed it was intended. A gesture of goodwill. Hell, someone can tell me to go finger frig myself and I will file it away as a helpful suggestion as to how to kill a little time when there's no football on tv.
People are too sensitive.

A holiday wish is given as a gift, and should be graciously accepted as one without exception. We cannot expect everyone we meet to a) discern our own social and religious background b) divine the strength of our convictions and c) know all of the possible nuances associated with every custom around the world.

Therefore, we should all give a bit of our own joyous celebrations and accept them with equal joy when given.

Merry Christmas, every one.

And, by the way, PC really stands for "Progressive Coercion".
