Pat, what is lumpias again? Know it by name, but just can't seem to picture what dish it is. Sounds yummy!
Ric! remembember those little crispy (eggroll) shaped things we deep fried and dipped in sweet N sour sauce??
Oh yeah! That was Lumpias!
Pat, did you make red rice with that too?
Cindy actually sent me the ingrediants to make red rice! Wow, do I miss Guam in so many ways now! You both are making me hungery for Guams food and the island itself!
no, sorry Ric, no red rice....maybe cindy will make it , but , I bet not, since she has her hands full, i'm sure.
Ric, when my dad was alive, he always loved to make chicken kiliguen..(sp)..with fresh coconut...it was sooo good! Do you remember that?
Yes Pat I remember all too well! Funny, I remember Guam and all the happenings as if were yesterday. Ask me what happened yesterday or 10 years ago... I draw a blank.
Pat, I think I may just make red rice. Just to warn you we having house FULL on x-mas eve. Besides your family and mine, Kassie is bringing over her parents, grandma and sis, and Michelle and Karl's mom will be here with her boyfriend. Yes friends, it's official I am CRAZY..my husband's ex will be here from Ohio today, her and boyfriend can't find hotel room and I said they could stay here. Please say prayers for me..lol
OMG Cindy!!!! yes you are crazy, not to mention good hearted and genorous. But, as I know, if anyone can pull it off, it's you. LOL...I'm still laughing, you mad women!
God bless you Cindy! What a heart you must have!
Dave, hope you're feelin better....thinkin of you
The lumpias were a great..everyone loved them. Thanks Pat for the all the hard work that went in to making them. Red rice was a hit too. My stepson and his wife just stopped by, they are headed to Vegas for 3 days for some alone time, he seemed really happy and relaxed and I'm glad that we had a happy, noisy, crazy, all the family together Christmas for him to enjoy after spending the last two in Iraq...it was worth all time and effort to be able to give that to him.
That's so great cindy. they both seemed real happy.everyone was happy and you had such a nice spread! thanks too for all the hard work you put into everything. maybe, some day, you'll just get to sleep or read or do something for yourself....love you, pat
