A Quiver of One

Surfin Hawaii back in the early 80s.

The only board I have now, is my 1989 6'8" Ben Aipa, T&C tri-fin, which hasn't seen the ocean in a very long time. I'm not sure if it would even still float if I got on it today. Like heavy dude!

Da Quiver yeah Brah ?! I also had a Ben Aipa 6'6" twin fin, colored half orange and half white (nose to tail). It was the stick that I used when I rode a solid 10-ft wave at Castle's (South Shore in front of the Outrigger Canoe Club), skidded down the face and then the stick locked in, and I was way, way deep in da barrel, but got spit, nice & easy. Was quite memorable, as many on shore were all standing up to watch this big set come through and this cool tube ride. Yahooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

Dave, your board will keep you afloat because they're designed for your body. Hey, I better check into "Boogie Boards"...O.K. bodyboards...people get offended sometimes, right the surfers from Guam?!

The only thing that stick would be good for around here is a plank between two ladders to paint a stairway. Aint no waves in the ponds around here. I guess you could try skurfin.

I do have a pic of myself as a 98 lbs. weakling holding a boogie board at Sandy's Beach Hawaii. But it can not compare to Dave's studly photo! :)
