If any of you get a chance take a few minutes to watch John McCain & Barack Obama roast each other at the Alfred Smith fundraiser. This is a very prestigious event with a long and rich history. It is tradition for every four years to have the presidential candidates from the two major parties roast each other and roast they did. I was impressed with both McCain and Obama. McCain with his deadpan humor and Obama was hilarious as well. Both of them were awesome. I think if you read between the lines here you can see the respect these two have for each other. If nothing else it illustrates how both of these guys are just human, extraordinary humans probably, but humans nonetheless.
Personally I don't know why anyone would want the job. Given the clusterfuck that is the current socio-economic and foreign affairs situation we find ourselves mired in whoever does win the job will likely visibly age before our eyes.
Pray that God grants the "winner" wisdom and guidance and that they never lose their sense of humor.

Doug,very well said.I've been visiting with Alice and my nephew Brandon.It was a nice break from the usual bleak news:)Nice to here about just being humans!!!and the cluster----.Yeah,It would be a tremendous challenge for anyone.
