I haven't watched the whole thing yet but the beginning certainly seems fitting for our times.

On the desk-top now. I am unable to view until the wife is off the lap-top, which has so much more of the memory thing going.

A little heavy on the hyperbole perhaps but pretty much on the spot. The slavery comparison was a bit over the top. It's a sad state when your primary commodity is the creation of debt.
1913 saw the creation of the Central Bank/Federal Reserve. Shortly thereafter the phrase "these people will piss on you and tell you it's raining" became appropriate.

RAC, still am unable to view the video, as my wife is commandeering the only computer we have that is capable of viewing videos.

But back in 1987, I was passing through DC and got the rep. of Idaho to walk me to and through the halls of Congress. When I was sitting in the visitors section, the Senate and/or Lower House was in session, there must have only been about 20 lawmakers on the floor debating! And they were passing laws? I was wondering at the time "where are the others"?

Well the solution offered is a little extreme, but I do think we are all economic slaves. I don't actually think I would like to see the brain dead jobs disappear because lately I feel like that is all I could handle. I thought this was very well done and certainly I have seen many projects and privatization of National companies over the years.

Maybe my ADD is showing but "It's so loong", its taking me days to finish it.

No, it's long. Watch it at "work".

Way too long and intellectual for me. I'm just not that into it. My sincerest admiration for those who watched it and "get it."

If it is too long, then I will not watch it, for I have a very low lolerance for %$#@*&.

Many of the sociological changes discussed in the film WILL become a reality at some point in the future. Unfortunately, we will have to undergo a great deal of hardship to get there. Only after some major transformative event, such as the near extinction of the species or a complete meltdown of its social structure, do societies become open to change. Judging from our current economic condition, that time may be closer that we think.

RAC, finally found some time on my wifes computer to view the video. I was not been able to watch it all, but from what I have seen, all I can say is..."interesting indeed"! I didn't realize it was 2 hours long? That is not a problem. It has caught my attention, now I must schedule time to watch in its entirety!

Ric, I certainly didn't mean for this to be required watching and I understand it won't appeal to everyone. I threw it up here because I thought it gave nice insight into how our economy functions. Be forewarned though, it is not without controversy.

RAC, by all means! I am a very open minded person (even though I am a Conservative). I always weigh both sides of an issue befor I make any decision, on any matter. This did catch my eyes and ears. I can't wait to find the time to watch it in full! Thanx!
