My wife is, ahem, somewhat younger than I. The other day, In-a-gadda-da-vida was playing and she really had no clue what it was. A shame she missed that great music when it was all over the radio.

I've been (re)watching Lord of the Rings with my 10-year old. I was reminded when we started our own "Fellowship of the Ring" under darkness of night and alter states of consciousness. I still wear that "ring" to this day.

RAC - awesome books and teriffic movies. I really hope they don't ruin the Hobbit - they are already expanding it to two parts. Milking it for all its worth, I suppose.

The BluRay edition is out this spring. Now if I can just find someone to buy my old DVD copes....

Read The Ill Earth Wars trilogy by Stephen Donaldson. If you are a fan of the Trilogy Of The Ring (as am I) you will like this one too.

I have read those. Donaldson has one of the most unique imaginations around. You might also like his Gap series. It is Science Fiction, but also very different.

I will do that, thanks. Been looking for a good read. Just finished "The Road" & "Blood Meridian" by Cormac McCarthy.
Engaging books but VERY dark.

I read all the J.R.R. Tolkien's books but may I suggest the "Chronicles of Amber" written by Roger Zelazny? Those books should,if they could, be put onto film.Modern computer graphics could pull this off!
