Just don’t know how to ‘title' this one?
I was at a niece’s birthday party yesterday. She turned 7 years old. She was outside on the swing set playing with other kids. Then some one opened the back door and told her to come in, “it’s birthday cake time”! My niece replied, “I don’t want to come in now”. Later I learned that she did not want to come in because she did not want her special day to end.
When I heard this, it reminded me of a moment of time in my own childhood. I was outside riding my tricycle. I wiped out, had a foot suck in the front tire spokes and was twisted up like a pretzel. I couldn’t get untangled, and ws in pain. Then, out of nowhere came a US Postal worker. He rescued me from my first wipeout on wheels. I remember this as if it were only yesterday. Yet, I was only 5 years old at the time. He asked me, “why are you still crying, are you hurt?” I said, “No, I don’t want to grow up”.
Regardless of the physical pain I was experiencing then, I must have been thinking how wonderful it was to be a kid.
The peacefulness of childhood! I think kids realize the special place and moment of time that they are in, and they don’t want to lose it. Makes you think?

Obamas own words
Presidential candidate Obama said to the San Fransisco Chronicle (Jan. 2008) that the cap and trade would cause "electricity costs to skyrocket".
In the rose garden speech yesterday, he said it would cost Americans the price of a stamp a day. Today, that is .44 cents. Okay, so, that means it will be about an extra $160.60 a year per American. Now, if it is the cost per American, or home, I don't know. But, I will take the home side of it. There are about 120,000,000 homes/appt/dorms/etc in America. Courtesy Census bureau.
Math time.
$19,272,000,000 a year extra. Want me to figure out what that is if he meant for each American, not American home?
Go ahead and defend that, as well as the loss of millions of American jobs.

Gov. Sanford needs to resign!
I firmly believe that the union of marriage is more important than any other than with God. If a man will cheat on his wife, he will cheat on things less important, like his duties as Governor.
I look forward to his resignation soon, and pray that he can straighten this out in his life.

Nancy Palosi and President Obama to cost more jobs
According to a National Black Chamber of Commerce study.
nationalbcc.org
1. Reduce nation GDP roughly $350 billion below the baseline level
2. Cut net employment by 2.5 million jobs (even after accounting for new "green" jobs)
3. Reduce earnings for the average U.S. worker by $390 per year.
My question, How is this good for America and Americans?

2.19 Million jobs lost under President Obama
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (bls.gov/), 2,190,000 jobs have been lost under the Obama administration. He promised Americans that he would turn the economy around. He lied! This is the highest job loss since President Clinton was in office.
Obama fired more than 20,000 auto workers, which will also cause the loss of 'support businesses' in their communities.

IT'S A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't forget to mark this on your calendars!
As you may already know, it is a sin for a Muslim male to see any woman other than his wife naked. He must commit suicide if he does.
So, next Saturday at 4 PM Eastern Time, all American women are asked to walk out of their house completely naked to help weed out any neighborhood terrorists. Circling your block for one hour is recommended for this anit-terrorist effort.
All patriotic men are to position themselves in lawn chairs to prove they are not terrorists, and show support for all American women. Since Islam also does not approve of alcohol, a cold 6-pack at your side is further proof of your anti-terrorist sentiment.
The American government appreciates your efforts to root out terrorists and applauds your participation in this anti-terrorist activity.

Girl Gets Dying Wish To See Movie 'Up'
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — Colby Curtin got her final wish.
The 10-year-old girl desperately wanted to see the new Disney-Pixar movie, "Up." But the cancer-stricken girl was too sick to go to a theater.
Thanks to a family friend who got in touch with the movie studio Pixar, an employee of the Emeryville-based company arrived at Colby's home with a DVD copy of the movie, The Orange County Register reported Friday. The girl died later that night.
Colby's mother, Lisa, said she had asked her daughter if she could hang on until the movie arrived.
"I'm ready (to die), but I'm going to wait for the movie," she said her daughter replied.

A True Patriot
1. The next time you see any adults talking or wearing a hat during the playing of the National Anthem-Kick their ass.
2. When you witness, first hand, someone burning the American flag in protest-Kick their ass.
3. Regardless of the rand they held while they served, pay the highest amount of respect to all veterans. If you see anyone doing otherwise, quietly pull them aside and explain how these veterans fought for the very freedom they bask in every second. Enlighten them on the many sacrifices these veterans made to make this Nation great. Then hold them down while a disabled veteran Kicks their ass.
4. If you witness someone calling the US Coast Guard "non-military", inform them of their mistake-and Kick their ass.
5. Bin Laden and the Taliban as well as insurgents are not Communists, so stop saying 'Lets kill those Commies!' and stop asking us where hie is! Crystal balls are not standard issue in the military. That reminds me-if you see anyone calling those damm psychic phone numbers-Kick their ass.
6. 'fly-boy, Jar-head, Grunt, Squid, Puddle jumpers, etc., are terms of endearment we use describing each other (active service and veterans). Unless you are a service member or vet, you have not earned the right to use them. Using them could get your ass kicked.
7. If you ever see anyone either standing for or singing the National Anthem in Spanish- KICK THEIR ASS.

This is a load of crap
I've heard Mr. Walpin in several interviews and BO's description of his state is way off base. Are we also to accept that this happened overnight and that he was unable to comply with the law (inspector general reform act) that he, himself CO-SPONSORED?
(for those of you who watch and read only the dinasaur media, this is probably all new to you. You can catch up by reading on FOX, HotAir.com, Washington Examiner).
BO has broken the law, broken his own pledges for ethical and open government and broken his own promises to protect whistleblowers instead of bury them. What a great president!
WASHINGTON -- Responding to criticism from a Senate Democratic ally, President Obama explained why he fired the Inspector General of the AmeriCorps without the 30-day notification required by law, calling Gerald Walpin so "confused" and "disoriented" that there was reason to question "his capacity to serve."
In a letter to the bipartisan leaders of the Senate Committee that oversees AmeriCorps, Obama listed these alleged defects in Walpin's leadership as an Inspector General.
Removed after unanimous request from the AmeriCorps board of directors
At May, 20, 2009, board meeting Walpin "was confused, disoriented and unable to answer questions and exhibited behavior that led the board to question his capacity to serve."
The U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of California complained about Walpin's conduct to the IG oversight board and alleged he withheld exculpatory evidence.
Walpin had "been absent from the Corporation's headquarters, insisting upon working from his home in New York over the objection" of the board.
He "exhibited a lack of candor in providing material information to decision makers."
He "engaged in other troubling and inappropriate conduct."
He "had become unduly disruptive to agency operations, impairing his effectiveness."
The letter, authored by Norman Eisen, Special Counsel to the President for ethics, concluded: "It was for these reasons that Mr. Walpin was removed."
Hours before, Sen. Claire McCaskill, Missouri Democrat, criticized Obama for failing to specify why he fired Walpin.
"The White House has failed to follow the proper procedure in notifying Congress as to the removal of the Inspector General for the Corporation for National and Community Service," McCaskill said in a statement. "The legislation which was passed last year requires that the president give a reason for the removal. 'Loss of confidence' is not a sufficient reason. I'm hopeful the White House will provide a more substantive rationale, in writing, as quickly as possible."
Obama voted for the legislation requiring specific notification to Congress of the reasons to dismiss an inspector general. Any move to fire an inspector general requires 30-days notice. Obama voted for the law to strengthen the independence of inspectors general.
Walpin led a 2008 investigation into allegations of misused taxpayer funds distributed by AmeriCorps to the St. HOPE Academy of Sacramento, founded in 1989 by Obama supporter and former NBA player Kevin Johnson. Walpin said Johnson, now mayor of Sacramento, misused roughly $850,000 in AmeriCorps funds. His referral to the U.S. Attorney's Office did not result in the filing of criminal charges. But St. HOPE officials agreed, via a settlement, to repay half of its AmeriCorps grants.
On Tuesday, Rep. Darrell Issa, California Republican, sought all White House information Walpin's firing. That followed a request from Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, that AmeriCorps provide "any and all records, e-mail, memoranda, documents, communications, or other information" related to Walpin's firing. Issa and Grassley are minority members of congressional oversight panels.
Republicans also have asked what role, if any, First Lady Michelle Obama played in Walpin's firing. The White House denies she had any voice in Walpin's future with the agency.
Republicans began to question Michelle Obama's role after press reports indicated she was taking a strong interest in AmeriCorps activities and when her former chief of staff, Jackie Norris, became a "senior adviser" to the Corporation for National and Community Service, also known as AmeriCorps.

The Obama does not fall far from the ACORN
Some of you vociferously protest any hint that our president is a socialist. Yet, he has undeniable ties to and support for the ACORN organization. You may hear about them already, but you certainly will when they come knocking on your door for the census.
Here are some of the highlites from the ACORN "People's Platform". If this isn't socialism, then someone has changed the definition.
Enough is enough. We will wait no longer for the crumbs at America's door. We will not be meek, but mighty.
...the benefit of our taxes rather than their burden [OK, really, what burden of taxes do you suppose ACORN members carry?]
A. Restructure utility rates by: 1. Ending all discount rates for large commercial and industrial users. [Those damn corporations again. They must be taken down]
B. Ban all utility shut-offs during the winter months and require all utilities to offer partial-payment arrangements, in conjunction with arrears forgiveness, in lieu of shut-offs. [Sounds like a new bailout. Heck if we're buying your house, we might as well power and heat it as well]
1. Removing the cost of new plants from the rate base until these plants are fully operational. [How, then, will new plants be paid for?]
2. Prohibiting the pass through of political and charitable contributions to the rate base. [Sure, as soon as the same prohibition is placed on, say, teachers unions who contribute to the democrats. Our taxes pay teachers salaries, they are constripted into the union, their salaries are taxed for the union dues, the unions contribute to the democrats. Or, perhaps the same rules for the UAW. You could apply the same logic. For every car we buy, how much of a contribution to the democrats are we forced to make?]
2. A public oil and gas corporation which has the right and preference to develop oil and gas reserves on federally owned land. [Obama's Citgo?]
1. Tax the windfall profits of all a major energy corporations, and return all excess deferred taxes to consumers.
b. Give low- and moderate-income members of the community a proportional share of seats on the governing boards of all hospitals.
At the health insurance companies:
a. Throw doctors and hospital administrators off the boards of directors, and replace them with a low- and moderate-income majority
Doctors are on set salaries
Every person who wants to work has a right to a job - a job which pays a living wage and offers opportunities for advancement. Those who cannot work - the elderly, the disabled, single parents with small children - should receive enough income to afford them the basic necessities and allow them to live with dignity. [Single parents with small children? Why should "the village" pay for others children?]
C. Require private industry to use the technology which creates the most jobs [this is laughable]
Provide an adequate income to every American [From those according to their ability to those according to their need. - Karl Marx]
A. Guarantee a minimum annual family income at a figure equivalent to the most recent Bureau of Labor Statistics "medium living standard," adjusted for inflation.
A. Funding for all schools should be set so schools in affluent areas do not receive more funding than schools in low- and moderate-income areas. [What, then, is the point in working hard, taking risks and becoming "affluent"? And, by the way, money is not the answer to education. Look up how much they spend in DC per student and then look at the test results. Brave New World, here we come].
A. Require all corporations of over $10 million in assets to include worker- representative and low- and moderate-income members of the community on their corporate boards. [Have you watched "Dr. Zhivago" lately?]
You can read all about it on the ACORN website: http://www.acorn.org/index.php?id=2743&L=1%2Findex.php%3Fid%3D4201. This administration has already given MILLIONS in your tax dollars to this organization. ACORN is under investigaton on many levels. ACORN has been contracted to go house-to-house and obtain census information under the sole supervision of the White House (for the first time in history).

POTW - Lunch from the other side
Skateboarding goes extreme
One of our greatest accomplishments on the Circle has to be the invention of skateboarding. Long before ollies and kickflips Dean Circle brats were stealing the tracks off little kids' roller skates and bolting them on plywood planks. Now it seems the sport has evolved into its most extreme form ever. I think we can all take pride in our contribution to this crazy new sport. Click this link and check it out for yourself.
Your Morals
There has been much debate on this blog about who has the greatest morals. Well to put the question to rest I suggest you go to www.yourmorals.org and find out for yourself. There are a number of scientifically designed test to let you see where you stand on the morality scale. I'll admit it's not as exciting as some other online tests but it is something to do while killing time at work.

Because of the high lead content of some Chinese goods, my kids overprotective mother has instituted a safe handling technique for these foreign products.
