Jeff Jones' Version
I thought it might help fire some synapses if we could figure out whose house was whose. Sounds like Dr. Seuss! I realize many of the structures have changed but we should be able to figure it out. Some I think I remember correctly:
B=The old lady that hated kids
C= The Caraways K=Larsons M=Sicklers
D= The Jonese F=Tansys
E= The Copelands H=Bast

Dean's Circle Map!!!
Thanks Google! I found this picture recently and am still trying to figure out the numbering. I know one thing, we first lived in #30 (1969-1972) and then #29 (1973-1976). Can anyone figure out the numbering? I think it would cool (ooohhh "far out") to create a new map that shows where we lived. What do you think?

Any Gardners or Montvel-Cohens on the BLOG?
A search on the blog of Montvel-Cohen brought up a post from 2008 about finding Evan, who was going to pass the word on to siblings. Tom M-V was a good friend of mine until they moved away in about 1970. Nowadays he seems to be a real estate developer in NYC.
How about Gardners, down on the bottom of the Circle overlooking the bay? Any word?

SEC Watchdogs viewed porn while economy went limp...

Ah the irony.
They were watching people screw while we were getting screwed.

University of Pittsburgh?
Has any one had experience with this school? My son is thinking of going there but wanted to hear from other people what they think.

Here's John's ministries website. Google-Images his name along with Inner-CHANGE and you'll see him. I tried to post a pic, but it didn't work.

Updates & Answers to Comments on My Post
We also lived in Dean's Circle twice, first from 1969 (my grade 9 at GWJHS) to 1972 (my junior year at GWHS), then again from 1973 (I got back in 1974) 'til 1976. Yes, I have a brother Rick, and adopted sisters Nancy and Karen. Richard is not on Facebook or Blogger, both sisters are on FB. You might remember that our cousin Dallas lived with us in the early '70's, too. Dallas is also on FB.
At that time, yes, you could call us - me, Richard, Dallas, John Wilson and other friends - "Jesus Freaks". That certainly changed for me a few years later. Does anyone remember John Hayes, who graduated from GWHS in 1972 and went off to Princeton? I hung out quite a bit with him, too. If many of you are now "Jesus Freaks", I can't imagine that we had any influence on that. The funny thing is that John Hayes, who was not "one of us", is now a well known Christian missionary. If I do have some unknown influence, then get out now while you can!!! Just kidding.
Doug, I had forgotten! Now I do remember the little treasure hunt. In the limestone forest behind the U, I think it was. A bunch of us and I used to play a lot of street football in east side of the circle in the early 70's. Who all was that?
I will pass all this news on to my brother, sisters, cousin, and parents, who will enjoy hearing about this. Richard lives in CA, Nancy in WY, Karen in AZ, Dallas in OR, and my aging parents here in OR, too. I have a few Guam pics scanned into my computer and will find some more, I hope, to post to the blog soon.

David Waite Has Been Found
Hi Dean's Circle Gang,
Juliet, thanks for finding me. Dave, thanks for inviting me to join. Hello all.
The "internets" and the blogosphere is an amazing thing. In the 1960's to 1970's Dean's Circle, who could have imagined this? When I was in about 5th grade, in Florence, Oregon, before moving to Norfolk, Virginia, in 1966, and before moving to Guam in 1969, my high school teacher dad played for us a '45 (it's a vinyl record, remember?) of a computer singing "Daisy, Daisy". That computer was probably the size of one of those concrete hovels that we lived in... Dean's Circle. How times have changed in about 45 years. Today, I have over 10,000 songs on my iPod (and only my 1200 favs on my iPhone). My '78's, '45's, '33's, and cd's mostly collect dust. Who could have imagined that a bunch of kids from a Gov Guam ghetto (Dean's Circle) on a remote tropical island could somehow, someway find each other again after 35+ years?
I look forward to sharing. First, I'd like to know who remembers me and what was I doing back then?! I can't remember.

Doctors and Unemployment
An Israeli doctor Says,
"Medicine in my country is so advanced that we can take a kidney out of one man, put it in another, and have him looking for work in six weeks."
A German doctor says,
"That is nothing; we can take a lung out of one person, put it in another, and have him looking for work in four weeks."
A Russian doctor says.
"In my country, medicine is so advanced that we can take half a heart out of one person, put it in another, and have them both looking for work in two weeks."
An Kentucky doctor, says.
"You guys are way behind. We recently took a man with no brains out of Illinois and
put him in the White House and within SIX MONTHS, half the COUNTRY is looking for Work."

I'll be the first to give props to the pres for signing off on offshore drilling. This was/is a big thing for conservatives . Part two will be where it leads us.
