Ok, I give up Paul...which view is that? My guess would be that its looking down the street toward the Caraway and Jones houses in the background, and shows the yards across the street from where the bus stop stood. It looks like the houses are bigger and have been added onto. Then again,I could be mistaken.
I remember that morning. We were fixin to hike up a trail in the boonies and stay the night. It was a gorgous spot at the top. none of us brought enough water though, so the next day hiking down we were suffering. Good memmory though. The second pic, doesn't look like the old neighborhood at all! kinda lonely looking.
Also note the manhole covers in foreground. You could access the drainage system to the neighborhood through those. Descend on one end of the block and come up clear on the other side. Not advised for really large people or rainy days.
There is no one living there now. UOG uses them for offices. The field is now used for ROTC training, still nothing grows in the square where the bus stop was.
Oh yes Doug, those memmories of the caraways curb...I remember, depending on the "crime", being grounded to my room, the house or the curb. If it was the curb, you always came to visit and it never felt like being "grounded". haha
OK, I kind of cheated (went to Google Earth), my memory is not what it use to be. The old bus stop seems it would be at the top of the hill on the right, right! I 2nd with what Dave said!
Thanx Paul for the current photo of Dean's Circle! Keep'm com'n!

Dave, I think you are good on that one. I was thinking the same thing.

So...any guess as to how much time was spent sitting on those curbs out in front of the Carraways? Brings back memories.

Also where the baseball field was, before a typhoon took out the back stop.
"Still nothing grows in the square where the bus stop was."
Likely due to toxic levels of nicotine sulfate.
What's up with the ugly ass power poles? You would think a place so prone to typhoons would learn how to bury those puppies.
