Yep, got a book about him. Seems like they found a couple more even after that in the Phillipines. Like I said earlier there was some other worldly shit in them boonies.
Oh, that looked like me this morning. Wow.
I remember hearing reports of guys in Talafofo (spelling..got no dictionary) and NCS beach. Don't know if this was one of those guys or not. But there were several of them that were hiding out for decades thinking WW II was still going on.
They one guy in the P.I. Killed over 25 people and refused to surrender until they got his comanding officer to come and tell him it was okay. A real nutcake and he didn't even get charged with any of the murders. It is really a story to read about. Yokoi became a phrase on Guam for people who looked ill kept. "Hey Yokoi". Yokoi was a tailor before he was in the war and so he was very creative and made his own clothes out of fiber.
