This sounds like a really fun family breakfast activity. It would be interesting to compare portraits week to week so see how relationships affect the outcomes.
Hey, this reminds me of something that happened when my son was very young, 4th grade and he was waiting for an interview for getting into a private school here. They had some paper and pencils for the children to amuse themselves with. He was really busy and drew some sort of unflattering ape like commando women with particularly hairy armpits and labeled it "MOM". Totally inappropriate. On the one hand I wanted to strangle him on the other I thought it was pretty funny. He eventually graduated from that school with high honors.
I can reconize Mark from one of the scetches. Good artists your kids are!
