I know it's kind out of style and most of them are never kept anyway but is anyone making any New Year's resolutions and what are they?

Why yes I did, and they are self explanitory(I'm sure).
1. To never again have a preverted thought.
2. To lose 20 lbs.
3. To reach Mars by Feb. 23rd.
4. To stop quiting.
5. Climb Mt. Everest.
6. Complete the projects I have not started, or to just not start projects that need completed.

I know that there are many more, but I only have a few days left to not worry about such things, see me later.

Well after 22 years of the mommy gig I would like to make a real change, so I think I will take up drinking and become a slut.

Way to go Juliet!!! Here's part of my to do list: worry less, dance more, laugh more, have more sex, go sky diving, ride on a motorcycle, get breast implants.

Spend more time with my kids before they get too old and could care less about "time" with me.... Pick up all the toothpicks that fell out of the box behind the microwave 2 months ago.....try to look in the mirror everyday and like myself.

My New Year's Resolutions was: to go on a diet...so I switched to lite beer! Hope this diet works!

My news years eve celebration was very memerable for many, and was told that I had a very good time...It's all a very fuzzy blurr to me now, as I down many aspirin.

Actually, this was a very good New Years! I just became an Uncle again! My sister inlaw, the sexy nurse, gave birth to a healthy baby boy 3 days ago (no, I was not the father...dang it!). My wife Teresa and I were designated to watch the new borns older sister during this time while the new mommy and daddy were doing what new parents do.

I got to play 'Monster-man Uncle Ric' for three days with my five year old neice Savannah. She likes being scared, chased and tickled! We are home now. My wife told me that it's time that I grow up!

I have to work in the a.m., so I quess I must grow up soooon!

Hope everyone had a good new years celebration!

I wouldn't want anyone to get the impression that I drink. My last drink was in 1986.I had s glass of Champagne at my wedding. It wasn't that I had a problem with it, the whole party thing just sort of faded from my life around 85. I never wanted my kids to get the idea that it was normal to party so Hans never drank or smoked in front of the kids and about 10 years ago he quit smoking altogether and rarely has a drink. As far as I know neither one of my kids drink or smoke or drug. My experience with my boys, "Moms you can say what you want, boys are going to do what they see Dad doing." I saw a documentary about hearing and male female interaction and it seems that some tones in women's voices are not even registered by the male brain. So I guess they really aren't hearing us.

Ye Jueliet, I quit smoking 1 1/2 years ago! The best thing that I ever did. Don't miss the smoking much anymore, but in some of my dreams I find myself smoking. I quess old habits carry on into dream land?

It's true. Men and Womens brains are wired diffrently, scientific fact. And there are times that I don't hear my wife speaking to me when she uses a certain tone of voice. She even made me got see the ENT, because she thought that I was loosing my hearing. The hearing check came back perfect...then she really got ticked off. She thinks I am ignoring her intentionally, not so.

Juliet, drinking is not a thing that I advocate for at all (even though it is a good self-administered prn psycho tropic), but it is nice to have a night-cap: ie, a glass of wine, a few beers, a 1/5th of vodka, or 1/2 case of wine coolers once and a while.

Amy, help me out hear! :)

Can't be serious all the time!

juliet said...

Ya, the male brain seems to have limitations in other areas too, like sense of smell and sight. It seems, based on my own experience of course, that they male brain can't detect or in some cases even see different levels of dirt and dust. No need to go into the sense of smell...

Juliet don't worry I don't think any of us took you too seriously, your memory and writing is too good, I figured you were probably one of the most sane and sober of us..lol My list was serious though, except for the breast implant part..figured the guys would pay more attention if my comment had the word breast in it..lol

One time my dad sent me an email that included a long list of what guys can do to make a woman happy. The list of what a woman can do to make a guy happy included two items: 1. Show up naked 2. bring food

juliet said...

"Naked with food" that works for me too!!!

Ric Larson said...

Yes, and men have a very limited vocabulary as well. But we do understand 'breasts, food and naked'! lol :)

Cindy said...

Juliet, I agree...especially if it's chocolate...or something with chocolate on it..lol
