I was working for Guam Cable TV at the time and I was just coming back from tamuning to the Agana office and I saw Bordallo as I went around Paseo loop.He was chained up and waving at passersby and everyone was honking at him and waving and I immediately called the office on the 2 way and by the time I got to the office(5 minutes) he had already shot himself. The ironic part was he shot himself with his own gun on which the firearms registration had expired many years earlier.Gov. Bordallos first term in office he pushed the firearm registration through as a way to curb gun violence. OOG!
Oh those wild and wacky Bordallos. Madeline is still in Washington I guess. I can remember some of us going to the capitol and then marching on the governors place to protest spending cuts to education or somesuch. I didn't want to do it I was coerced by my parents. Anyway we get to the governors mansion and out comes Carlos G Camacho himself and he was pissed. After a profanity laced tirade, for which he later apologized, we could see that diplomacy and appreciation for differing viewpoints was not one of the governors strongest assets. The good news in all of this was that my parents no longer saw the need for getting involved in the local political process.
Mat,so true. J.T. was on his federal grand jury.It was decided by a jury of his peers. Now Madeline has put his statue in front of Adelup. What message does that send our youth and people here?

I remember that statue well. Near Merizo, or some where south...Umatic?
Little know fact: Quipuha means "hung like water buffalo" in Korean.
I know some oriental lingo too, "Long Wong Dong Pork My Wife"
I also know Judo, Kenpo, Karate & ten other Oriental words!
I think this statue is in Agana and Gov. Bordallo chained himself to it and shot himself.
Juliet strikes again. Get the full story here.

What ever happened to Bordallos big mansion looking over Pago Bay? Paul or Joanna, is it still there!
The house was completely destroyed by typhoon Pamela and they lost ownership of the land.
