Many of you may know, Mark and I were adopted when we were babies. We both have since found our birth mothers. Here is a cool pic of my mom Anna and I.

Mark and I were blessed with the gift of fine parents to adopt us when our birth parents were unable to care for us. Then moving to Guam to raise two fair haired kids was a bold and brave thing to do back in the day, 1966. When I was able to tell my birth mom all about my upbringing on Guam she was very surprised, as would most people would be I am sure.
juls, I am so happy for you. I know that your mom and dad love you verry much. You were a true blessing for them, at a time when they needed a blessing. I have many a time thought of your parents (now that I am one) and have two girls who could be put in the same perdiciment (mabey a poor choice of word, but for lack of a beter term, I will use it). Just as an equel is the Love that your birth parents showed and gave to you and your brother. The loss any parent would feel in making the choice which is in the best intrest of their children must be anguishing. Just as I am sure the equel is the Joy in the reuniting of parent and child. I am distraught in that I was not the first to say that you two truly look like sisters. It has often been said to look at a woman's mother to see what she will look like some years later. I tell you, WOW BABY!!! Tell your Birth mother "thank you" for me. For if it were not for decisions made, I would not have ever known the Joy of knowing you.
Thanks DRL, that was really sweet of you. Yes meeting her (Dad and two half sibblings as well) was pretty neat. They were thrilled that I had such a loving family that raised me, and finding out that I turned out ok. I love my mom and pop so much (they are my true family) and respect them so much, finding the birth family was a way for us all to fill in the gaps and missing pieces. Thanks! More pics on the way!
