Trikes turned into Big Wheels

Does anyone remember how we would turn kiddy three wheel trikes into Big Wheels by taking off the handle bars and repositioning the front wheel upside down?

I do remember Dean-Boy having one of those Big Wheels. I remember pushing him down the road on it! Then I attempted to ride it, and as I sat on it, I broke the thin iron axel. Dean-boy (now known as Dean) was really upset! I too was bumbed. Sorry Dean!

Mat I don't remember who started it. I googled it and couldn't find a thing on it so it must be an OOG thing.

The trick was to get a trike big enough that when you turned it into a big wheel you didn't have to bang your shins on the handle bars.

The Larsons started it.Pete and Dan did it first. Then we started swiping any trike we could find and "sooping them up".Also we used to chop bikes and cut the forks and attach them to another bikes forks and ride baby.It got to be a competition how many forks you could put on a bike and still ride it.It was a trick question Juls. That was a "true" Deans circle invention. After that no ones trike or bike was safe after dark. And any left over parts deemed unusable were sentenced to the junk pile.Pending future R&D of course.Hahaha.
