And who remembers that Jim Morrisons dad was a career Navy guy.At the time was Commander Naval Forces Marianas(ComNavmar)stationed at Nimitz Hill Guam?

This is a true tragedy! God must love great musicians and actors; he’s about taken them all. But isn’t it ironic, tragedies seem to happen in threes? I will miss them all.

You know you're getting older when all the stars you grew up with start dying. Enjoy it while we have it folks, 'cause it won't be around forever.

RAC, so true, so true!

I'm not sure I'll miss Michael Jackson but so sad he had kids and their dad is gone.He was our age.

He certainly was more than a little freakish. Right up there with Elvis, Howard Hughes and J. Edgar Hoover.

Jim Morrison. Another proud alum of Florida State University.
Used to really not like Michael Jackson but I gotta' say that Thriller video is genius.
Directed by John Landis, narrated by Vincent Price & Eddie Van Halen on lead guitar.
Friggin brilliant.

Does Timothy Leary fall under this category? He was a little freakish, yet super far out there man!

RAC, good seeing you again. How did the move go?

I was talking to a friend a while ago, and she said, "all the girls wanted to have Farrah's hair, and all the boys wanted Farrah". Yep.

I never liked Michael Jackson's music. But I can recognise a great entertainer and he was one of the most instrumental people in music of any kind.

Okay, two truth's: Michael was a freak, and Farrah never fell in love with me.

Speaking of Timothy Leary, he was not freakish, that 20 foot chicken was running down the freeway!

Talking of death and song lyrics. Anyone remember this: "Timothy Leary is dead. No, no, no, no, he's just outside looking in."
"astroplaning around the bay"
Oh, and he wasn't dead when the song was written.

Mat, how is the new job going? I could spend time in Home Depot, like a kid in a candy store. Before I broke my back, I did allot of handy work. I plumbed 2 houses, and allot of framing and finishing. I now have my wife help with drywall to finish our basement bathroom that has been waiting.
Hey, did I mention that she is HOT!!! You should see her in a tool belt ;) but you can't.

I did remember that Mr. Mojo's father was a navel officer (thought he was an admiral or something).

Another interesting note was that Citibank used the name "James Morrison" as the sample name on their credit card adds. That's almost as funny as Joe Friday's badge number (714).

SO...who's going to be the first with the tasteless MJ jokes? Come on I know you've heard one...

Doug said...

Okay I'll go first...
Michael Jacksons organ donor card specifies that his organ be left in a child.

or....
since he was 90% plastic already MJ will be melted down into Lego toys so children can still play with him.

juliet said...

Doug that is bad behavior grasshopper.

Doug said...

MJ to be recycled into shopping bags so that he can remain white, plastic and dangerous for children to play with.

I might be pissing off Patsy. She used to love her some Michael Jackson.

SELLING TICKETS!! CHEAP!!!

To next weeks Jackson 4 concert.

Doug, you are funny. Ha.
I don't know any, but if I hear one, I will put it on here.

Timothy Leary’s ashes were actually sent up into orbit about a decade ago or less. Yes, he is literally way out there man! And I believe that Carl Sagan’s ashes (as with others) were also sent up into orbit along with Timothy Leary’s ashes.

Far out dude

Why was MJ spotted in Kmart? He heard boys pants were half off. This was from an earlier post I made. But it's more relevant now.

No Dougie, you can't piss me off, I just wish y'all would let the man be laid to rest first. He was somebody's son, brother, father.
Yes, when I was a kid, I loved him. We were born the same year and he was a fellow virgo, born 5 days before me. One of my fondest memories from Guam was when me a bunch of other giddy girls went to see "Ben" and singing the theme song all the way home. I started to lose respect for him when he changed his face and started acting weird. He had a great talent though and you have to respect that, If only in his death.

Doug said...

Oh okay I'll be nice.

Wow man, their dropping like flies! Billy Mays was found dead in his home today.

Ed McMan (sp?) died too.

Michel Jackson may have been a talented person as far as music goes, but he was a freak in life and death.
