A True Patriot

1. The next time you see any adults talking or wearing a hat during the playing of the National Anthem-Kick their ass.

2. When you witness, first hand, someone burning the American flag in protest-Kick their ass.

3. Regardless of the rand they held while they served, pay the highest amount of respect to all veterans. If you see anyone doing otherwise, quietly pull them aside and explain how these veterans fought for the very freedom they bask in every second. Enlighten them on the many sacrifices these veterans made to make this Nation great. Then hold them down while a disabled veteran Kicks their ass.

4. If you witness someone calling the US Coast Guard "non-military", inform them of their mistake-and Kick their ass.

5. Bin Laden and the Taliban as well as insurgents are not Communists, so stop saying 'Lets kill those Commies!' and stop asking us where hie is! Crystal balls are not standard issue in the military. That reminds me-if you see anyone calling those damm psychic phone numbers-Kick their ass.

6. 'fly-boy, Jar-head, Grunt, Squid, Puddle jumpers, etc., are terms of endearment we use describing each other (active service and veterans). Unless you are a service member or vet, you have not earned the right to use them. Using them could get your ass kicked.

7. If you ever see anyone either standing for or singing the National Anthem in Spanish- KICK THEIR ASS.

I have to thank my brother Ric for sending this to me. Thank you, you are a true patriot.

There was a lot more to it. If anyone wants it, ask me or Ric and we can email it to you.

Oh, the reason I didn't post all of the email, was I wanted the Caraway girls to be able to read it all.

So is a guy who takes off his hat during the anthem but cheats on his taxes more of a patriot than the guy who wears a hat during the anthem and pays all his taxes?

Is a girl who calls an offensive military guy a jar head in an effort to avoid his advances less of a patriot than a girl who knowingly passes on an std to an active military guy.

Just want to get the fine tuning on your ideal of a "True Patriot" drl.

Is a person who decides on the spot what is conciderd an offense to the US and causes physical harm to another (kicking their butt)more of a patriot than a person who abides by the constitution?

drl,You must realy think you are "the" most patriotic person in the U.S. of A. Who do you think you are? In the whole scheme of things,do you really believe your the best with your bro Ric? My Dad had Generals like Lemay and Niess as his bestfriends. What about your Dad?

Joanna said...

You dislike women in your remarks toward the Caraway girls. Think before you write...your girls will soak all this in and end up with a man just like you.

juliet said...

Actually, drl didn't you say your biological dad was a General, was that Army or Airforce? How did you all end up on Guam? Was your dad posted to Guam? I remember one of you wrote that your stepdad was raised on guam as a teen or something like that. Did your mom meet your step dad on Guam? Just curious.

Ya, my green Huffy bike that originally had a flower basket and green tassels on the handles which lasted all of about a minute. I have no Idea how they got lost.

Thanks Doug

don't worry Juliet, I'll lend you one.

Umm Doug... careful of Pat, I seem to remember in your case she was pretty fast with a swift kick.

And DRL, rather than come on here and pick fights with people because your life is so pathetic, why don't you just choose a more permanent solution. Trying to channel your inner rage onto others is really just a cop out. Get over it and man up.

Time for Dave and the Kumbya song.

I say we all quit picking fights and fighting amongst each other. This blog was founded to reflect and express our memories and our hard and fun time on the ‘ROCK’ (well OK, the Circle). I too am guilty of pushing peoples buttons on this blog as many of us are. Can’t we all just get along? Yes, there is a clear political line drawn here on this blog (and yes, I do lean to the right). But its OK to see things differently, that is what makes us a great Nation. Hey, lets move forward and have some fun!!!!!! Think i'll go and eat a Big Mack now! ;)

Wow, it was not a test. It was funny thing going around the Internet. But, if you think that those who served are bad people, especially disabled vets, you have a problem. But, problems are okay, look at me.
I didn't think I said anything negative in it? I was upholding those who have served, and unless you think veterans are a lower class of patriot than you, I am sorry.

DRL said...

Juliet, if someone does not honor the flag that draped the coffins of those who served, then they are not a patriot.
Calling an ignorant person an enduring name, won't stop who they are. Look at Robert, he is one of the meanest people on the blog.

A true patriot honors those who served and the flag they fought for. Pretty simple. But remember "Rosy the Riveter", she was also a true patriot. This was a nice thing off the web is all. If you or anyone disagrees with it, I am sorry.

DRL said...

Joanna, please don't attack me.
I am not the "most patriotic", but I try to do my part. Dave served 30 years, I think he has a hand above me.
My biological dad was the general that people like your dad wanted to hang out with, I guess. I am sure he had a bunch of generals as friends, I don't know. What I do know, is I would rather hand with a PFC or SC any day, over any zero.

DRL said...

Yes, Juliet, he was. But my parents were divorced when I was young. That is when she met Paul, Sean's dad. He was the dad that grew up on Guam. We moved from Idaho to Guam. It is a confusing life story.

DRL said...

Oh, and Joanna. No, I love women. I would rather be stuck on a deserted Island with a bunch of women, than guys.
I was making fun of Robert, not his sisters. I actually like Cindy and Pat. Because I disagree with them on about every part of life, I think they both are extraordinary women.
I thought highly of Robert till he had to release his wrath. He has a very negative side to him.

DRL said...

Oh yes Pat, bring it on. As well as the grease and mud. Oh, yea, hurt me baby, I like it like that.

DRL said...

Rac, like I said earlier, I am actually having fun. This is one of the funnest places I know of. I have gone too far, as most of you on here have, but I enjoy it.
Do you have a cat of nine tails at home. Bring it to the reunion.

DRL said...

Okay Cindy, you bring the oil, and Pat can bring the mud. I'm ready. Make me hurt so good.

DRL said...

Ric, I didn't think I was picking a fight. I know with the liberals on here, they would be offended at me saying veterans were a patriotic bunch of guys and gals, but I wasn't picking a fight. I just thought it was a cool email is all.

DRL said...

Doug, you stay out of this. Pat and Cindy are mine! I don't want any competition. Pat already want you for two lovers leap. Let me get my woop'n (and any free grabs I can) first.

DRL said...

The sad part of this is like what Ric said. Why fight over it.
I put this up as something I would send as an email. I titled it like it is because of the big discussion of "patriotism" on the blog.
Why couldn't any of the liberals say, "yes, we must honor our vets and the flag"?
Instead, found reasons to not do so.

DRL said...

Ric, this is full of Circle revisiting. RAC's steel toe shoe up my ass. The girls (not RAC) coming after me with their bikes shooting me in the ass with bb's, and stickabers.

Oh, the memories.

Cindy said...

DRL, once again you forget who you are talking to... my brother was in the Navy during the first Gulf War and my stepson is still in the Army and deployed to Iraq (and guess what?? he's a liberal and he loves his country and is willing to die to serve it and protect jerks like you !) You're purposely being an asshole and trying to piss people off. You don't piss me off, I feel sorry for you that you have to walk around in life with so much negative energy.

DRL said...

Cindy, I love you too.

I thought Robert was in way before the first Gulf War. You may be referring to Lebanon, I was in then as well.

I am only treating you on the left how you have been treating conservatives, and I love it, I love you too. I really do.

I can stand the heat, and there is nothing wrong with a little sparing at times.

I have and will continue to thank those who have served and are serving. I, unlike our President and those who fallow him, think our troops are the "biggest terrorist threat to America". Your stepson is in your eyes a threat to America. I see him as a hero, protecting your right to support a socialist president. But I love you.
Wanna give me a hug?

Cindy said...

DRL, tell me where I said that my stepson is not a hero but a "threat to America" . You're one totally one screwed up person. The point you don't get is that we are pissed when you say because someone is liberal in their thinking then they must not be patriotic or believe in honoring veterns or the flag. Your thinking is "f"ed up!

DRL said...

Cindy, whenever something is mentioned about how unpatriotic it is, nothing is said on the left about it. Such as when the Obama administration said that veterans are the biggest threat to America, no one on the left said it was a bad thing to say, but rather justified it. Protesting the war is unpatriotic. This post, everything said from the left is negative to the post. Why not admit that the left is less patriotic than the conservatives. It is true. Who protests, the left. Who wants to pull out the troops before they are finished, the left. Who has called it a quagmire, the left. Who stands on foreign soil and apologizes for Americas arrogance, the left.
That is my point, the liberals are not as patriotic as the conservatives.
I will not stand aside as our flag or military is bashed in any way.

DRL said...

If you or any on the left are patriotic, why not say some of what I posted is good? Why not protect our flag from burning in protest? What is wrong with protecting a disabled veteran from abuse? Don't you think our National Anthem should be honored, and those that don't aren't patriotic? Don't you think the Coast Guard is part of the Military? Do you think the National Anthem should be sung in another language?

juliet said...

drl what are your military credentials? When did you serve? What rank and how long. Why did you get out of the military?

juliet said...

RAC did you delete some of your comments here? Just when I thought I was taller at 5'4" and 3/4 inches.

Joanna said...

There are so many liberals that are so patriotic. Yes,you posted this because you wanted to.It does NOT mean we're less patriotic than you all.NO! We are a bunch of people that choose what to post here or not. You on the other hand feel that you have to define it.McVeigh and his dipshits are terrorists and former military.President Obama has a valid concern...he knows there are nuts kinda like you!!! Don't do shit like that. Be patriotic and except your new President with open arms and ideology!!!!!

DRL said...

Yes Joanna, I wanted to post this. That is why I posted it. Why would I post something I didn't want to post? You confuse me sometimes.

If you don't agree with these, but rather consider veterans the greatest threat to America, you aren't not patriotic at ALL! Do you understand the only reason you are free is because of veterans? How dare you think that those who lay down their lives to protect your freedom and life are like Bill Aires.
Every on know McVeigh was despicable and deserved death, which he got.
You say that Obama had, I am sure you mean, "have" a valid concern. He has not changed his opinion of veterans.
Second, Joanna, Do yo know who 'Bill Aires' is? He is a personal friend of President Obama. It was at Bill Aries house where he (Obama) first announced his candidacy for public office.
Bill Aires and his wife are convicted terrorists, just like McVeigh. Only they were not convinced to death. Our President is personal friends with a terrorist!
How dare you say anything about a hand full of veterans that turned against the country they vowed to protect, and make all veterans at the same level. They are dead now.

DRL said...

Oh, and by the way Joanna, do you remember the spiritual leader of Obama? Yes, he hates America, and has honored know terrorists, like Momar Kadafi. This is the man that Obama got his teaching from for 20 years. Was personal friends with, and spent time together away form church. Do you even take any of that into consideration before you think about our veterans? You and the other liberals that attacked this post are not patriotic at all! How dare anyone post protest videos against our troops while they are in harms way! It is better to demean a Marine than to walk away. Make any sense to you?
If you don't honor our flag and National Anthem, you are not a patriot!!!

DRL said...

By the way Joanna, I answered your questions, answerer mine.

Doug said...

DRL,
that spiritual advisor of Obama's that you reference is a veteran.
And I know you're sensitive to this but if you're going to make a case for guilt by association please make an effort to correctly spell the names of the offending parties.

DRL said...

Doug, who did I misspell? I did not do it intentionally. It was not meant in any way disrespectful.
I was answering Joanna, where she said that Obama has open arm and ideologies. I doubt that Rev. Wright (sp?) was a veteran. That was not my point. I was referring to the fact that Obama thinks our heroes are the greatest terrorist threat to America, and yet was friends and a student of both terrorists and people who hate America, thus not patriots.

DRL said...

Oh, and yes Doug. I am more than sensitive to this matter. I believe that we would not exist as a nation if it were not for those who served over the years, and I will stand to protect the flag, National Anthem, and veterans when they are mistreated. Just as we all (in my own opinion) should be.

Doug said...

DRL,
Rev. Wright veteran US Marine Corps 61-63.
I presume the convicted terrorist to which you refer is University Illinois-Chicago professor Bill Ayers. A perfunctory review of Ayer's criminal record shows a misdemeanor conviction associated with a sit in at a draft office for which he received ten days in jail.
I can find no convictions remotely resembling one warranting a death sentence.
An unrepentant former member of the Students For A Democratic Society as well as The Weather Underground to be sure but he sucked as a terrorist.
That aside, you obviously have your views on what constitutes patriotism. Others may share in or differ from those views. You do not however in my estimation hold dominion over this definition.

DRL said...

Okay Doug, I will concede to the fact that anyone can make a definition to any word they want to. If I say North is the shortest route to the South Pole, then I am right. Hu???
Now I am sorry I miss spelled Bill Ayers name.
When you looked him up, did you find the organization he founded, called "Weather Underground Organization"? It is responsible for the bombing of "Federal Buildings". Because they were not as inapt at building a weapon as McVeigh was, does not make them any less of a terrorist than McVeigh. And that President Obama is a personal friend, also does not make ether a good person.
That they wanted to get rid of our form of government and go to Communism? Hey look at Obama now!
Ayers also incited a riot in Chicago.
I would go on, but it would be too long.

DRL said...

Oh, and as far as Rev. Wright. I did not know he served. I thank him for his service.
But, just like Joanna pointed out, and it is funny she didn't point out an American hater that her beloved Obama received his spiritual advice form for 20 years and a personal friend, was a veteran.
Just like she pointed out, though, McVeigh was a veteran, so to is Rev. Write, and John Kerry. Oh, did you know that John Kerry is one of the North Vietnam "heroes" of the war? If you hear the interviews of Americans held in North Vietnam POW camps heard John Kerry's voice over the intercoms. The war was prolonged because of John Kerry, a Vietnam Veteran. I cant remember the Muslims name, but do you remember the Muslim who threw the grenade into the officers tent and killed an Army Captain? By the way, that man killed by the Muslim was from Idaho, not that that matters much.
So I will and have conceded that veterans can be terrorist, but to say that "Veterans are the greatest Terrorist threat to America" is despicable, and unpatriotic. Doesn't any one remember who was responsible for 9/11? I don't think so! It is our men and women in uniform that are defending us from another attack on U.S. soil.

DRL said...

So, to you Joanna. What makes you agree that our men and women in uniform are the 'greatest terrorist threat to America'? Just because McVeigh, Rev. Wright, John Kerry were veterans and turned to be despicable Americas, does not make everyone else who served or is serving enemies of the U.S.. I think you owe Cindy an apology for calling her step son a terrorist threat. If you want, you can also apologize to the rest of us who served.

Ric Larson said...

Just because the Rev. Wright (veteran US Marine Corps 61-63 is a veteran), is a Reverend, does not excuse the fact that I think he is a true nut-job. A lot of nut-jobs hide behind that title. Some justify their actions behind with that title. Just my take…that’s all.

DRL said...

Good take brother. There have been many who served our country honorably in uniform, then turned against the country afterwards, like John Kerry. But, he did serve honorably while in Vietnam.
It is funny how a liberal will bring up McVeigh, but say nothing about John Kerry,Hu?

Joanna said...

You two are ridiculous and ignorant. You ASSume that I was speaking about all veterans. As usual you twist people's words to your own mental state, sadly. Read, read ,read. That's all.
My father was a Captain in the Korean War and I'm still damn proud of him and most people who joined and fight for our freedom. You're just stupid,I feel sorry for you 2.

DRL said...

Joanna, there was no assumption made. The Obama administration said that "returning veterans are the greatest terrorist threat to America" and you agreed with him. I was not attacking you, but supporting all our troops who serve or served honorably. It is not until they do something against America, that I say anything. You, however agreed that with Obama, that's simple.

DRL said...

DRL said...

Juliet, what is 'stfu'? Is it a misspelled word, or an acronym? If it is a misspelled work, I understand, I do it all the time. If is is an acronym, I don't know what it means.

Anyway, why are you personally attacking me about what I have to say. Do yo do the same with Doug's long comments? No, just because you don't like me or my beliefs you feel free to attack what I say or do.

If yo can't handle what I have to say, simply delete it, or keep your computer off.

DRL said...

Oh, yea, Juliet, I do know what you mean about the email filling up. You should see mine when I get to work, wow.

Oh, and even if there is not a lot of comments made, keep the funny, sad, ironic, Guam, YouTube, etc....... stuff coming. Even if we ruffled the fur (good pun, hu) ;) on the kitty one, we enjoy them. I just need to get some sound here, boo hoo :(

ta ta for now.
