Dave it looks so beautiful and your daughter is just the same. Very nice pictures. I always want to be near island life whether it be Guam or one day maybe Hawaii:)Island life is so different. When I'm in the states, I feel overwhelmed and out of place.Noone will stop to help change your tire...that's my experience in Florida. Here, someone stops:)
Dave I remember when you were passing through Guam with your wife from Yap(I think your tour was over then). We all were so young and I remember how considerate and taken you were with her. Being an Island girl myself, I tried to think of things to do that day that might be interesting like take a ride on an elevator and escalator because she had never done those things before. Did she return to Yap?
Jo make sure you can change your own tire, sometimes people don't stop because it just isn't safe. Make sure you don't get in any car with a stranger offering to take your tire to a gas station.OOPS sorry I forgot you are all grown up!
I was just a kid (18) when I got stationed on Yap, right out of basic training. I was like a kid in a candy store. All the women were running around topless and wearing grass skirts. Monica lives in Hawaii now, remarried with 3 kids, two of which are twins. She couldn't handle the mainland (or me) and decided to go back to the islands with or without me. It ended up being without. Elly stayed with me until she turned 18.
Juliet, I was with my ex at the time and there were 4 women in the car,I helplessly watched him role the tire into the "black" area and I saw him go around the corner in a car. I was scared but, he came back and changed our tire. I couldn't believe that not one person would stop...not island like.Hey now I have Calvo's who'll tow you where ever you are for $40 dollars but, friends stop as you wait:)

Hey dave, Was Yap any thing like Guam? Good pics!
Yap was like Guam, times 10. I would have stayed there until this very day if uncle sam would have let me. Awesome doesn't even begin to describe it.
