Long Live the Blog!
Nobody has to leave the blog. Not DRL, not Juliet and damn sure not RAC. We have all spewed our share of BS (except Cindy and Becki) they're so sweet... but the rest of us cirlcle rats have laid out some true-blue DC-BS-all day long-Jive talk. That's who we are, that's what we do. We were brought up on the curbs and in the bus-stops of kill haolie land, and we are all a bunch of ruthless scrappers when it comes to defending our own territory... that is, our own minds. We are living in a more touchy-feely-politically-correct world now, where everyone has to tread lightly for fear of stepping on someone else's toes, and we should be respectful of each other... but think back gang, how many fist dragging, knuckle busting, gut kicking fights did we used to get into back in the day, only to be best of friends the next day, having a smoke, a coke and a joke together? I cant' even count them all, let alone remember them all... but that's the point. We all learned how to forgive and forget, we all learned how to get along. But never, did we ever stop running our mouths like there was no tomorrow. That's who we are, that's what we do.

Like Joanna said in her last comment in mat's post, its gone freaky now. Given our upbringings and diverse histories, is it any surprise? We as a group of people here on the blog, are literally all over the place. So what? This is still a free country we live in and we are all free to use our own judgment in what we say and do. Like it or not, that's the way it is. Please feel free to keep on posting and blogging. Don't let anyone take your freedom away.

DRL don't go, and RAC, please come back. All of you and the DC blog really added some depth to my life beyond my ordinary boring daily grind. Like Dave has said, we have had to face howlie hatred, and the worst kinds of adversities, surely we can agree that what we have in common, the Rock is enough to keep us united!

Thanks everyone for your concern about my (apparently temporary) demise. I can assure you my departure was purely my own doing. I felt our exchanges had gotten way out of hand and I did not like the direction I found myself going. I instead decided to put myself in time out. As you all know I like a good argument as much as the next guy, but I felt I had let my emotions get the best of me. When it got to the point it was no longer about the topic but rather the opponent then it ceased to be fun and it was time to quit. Just as in real life there has to be rules on how we treat each other. It's not about political correctness - it's about respect for our fellow man. Having said that... bring it on bitches! ;)

Joanna, Don't be scared of "us" conservatives.We won't bite. You can always bounce anything off of us and we'll give you a totally "unbiased" opinion(after we ask Rush that is)hehhehheh.

Personally - I LOVE it when I visit this blog and see beautiful videos Paul has posted of the reef, and updates on how all of you are doing. Since I work as a pastor, I have to deal with heartache, conflict, grief, fear, tension etc all day long - so when I hang with my friends, I look for some relief from all that... This post was a breath of fresh air, thanks, Dave.

You see Paul, your postings really do Rock on man! Keep them coming dude! As a Social Worker, I dare not even expose what I hear every day (I can't by law). But Desi, as a Pastor, I'm sure you hear about the same. Yours is by the way more spiritual, as mine is more mental health. But they both do intertwine!
