This from one of the filthiest rich guys on the planet.Hahahaha. "Ok I made my billions but greed is bad so no one else should". Although wealth doesn't mean you're greedy. It means you're succesful and good at what you do. Isn't it funny how those two words are interchangeable by some people? Personally I'm not wealthy but I wouldn't mind being so. I would like to never have to worry about my family being taken care of if something happened to me. I would like to set up scholarships for budding young mechanics and tradespeople. And charities like St. Judes chidrens hospital. Yea I know Mr. Buffet is giving away his money, but what? He made it and it's cool but we shouldn't because then we'd be greedy? Sheesh.
Mat, you speak for me. I find it funny when people say things like, "money won't buy you happiness". "Rich people are miserable". "you cant take it with you". "you have never seen a U-Haul following a hearse". Believe me, I believe they are all true, but it is usually the rich who say it. I know that most people who win the lottery go bankrupt, but have a great ride. I believe that true love of someone is more important the love of money. Remember too that it is a misunderstood verse in the Bible. It is not "Money is the root of all evil". It is "The LOVE of money is the root of all evil". Mat, you have more wealth than Warren Buffet.
Oh, I see. That makes sense. As you can see, I am not the financial guru. I am as good with finances as I am with spelling. Hey, is there a financial check button I don't know about on the Google bar????? :)
Cindy is correct. Buffet made his billions by buying stocks when others were selling and selling when others were buying. He never said greed was bad, in fact quite the opposite. What he said is he used greed as an indicator for his buy and sell points. When it comes to business, Buffet is about as greedy as it gets... and that's why he's been so successful. We could all take a lesson here.

RAC, a question:
With the current market turmoil, what's the easiest way to make a small fortune?
Start off with a large one. :)
