In coupling, is the male transferring ownership of the sperm or do the male and female form a partnership?
The answer seems to be fluid depending on what the female wants.
If they want an abortion, then they want full control of the sperm and resulting baby to do with as they please. The male has no say in the outcome.
If they want to to keep the baby, on the other hand, then the male is fully responsible - but still without a choice.
So, which is it?

The man has no choices, only "women's choice". The father in society has been deemed no more worth than his next check. Why cant the father of the child have as much to say as to the life or death of his child as the mother does?
These are questions I have been asking for many a years. I can't say for being told in confidence (Sean, you don't know her, but some who read this might), but know someone close to me who had an abortion out of "convenience" and I came unglued. A child is not "convenience" or a "choice". It is a "life". Scientific fact!

I beg to differ. In the liberal's world, the parents can't be trusted with managing their children. Hence we have schools mandating sex ed (with whatever view they think is appropriate), making birth control available directly to children, making abortions available directly to children. Parental consent is missing from al this. The government knows best - and not even just the government but the FEDERAL government. They, after all, will control more and more of the public school system.
So, how does the parent know best?
Oh, that's right, it doesn't take parents to raise a child, it "takes a village". And that village is called the federal government.
The federal government knows best how to live your life.

Actually RAC true Christians don't think very much about Catholics. They lump us in there with Mormans and Jehovahs Witnesses and consider us a Cult religion. I guess all organized religions could be considered a cult though. I just go out on the lake and fish and take in all that my maker has put forth and talk to him that way. It's more personal that way and less regimented.

Matt, remember that I am a "real" Christian. What I said was true. The word "Cathlic" means "universal". It was the break between the "universal" Christians and the "Orthidox" Christians. The Orthidox went east and north for the most part, and the Catholics went to the west. There were exception to both. The Greek Orthidox Church stayd put. The split with Martin Luther was the Prodistent refremation (sp).
I do not know many Prodistent Catholics that think the Roman Catholics are a cult. The refremation brought on a more relatinship oriantated belief and less on the ritualistic practices. It also set Christ at the head, and not the Priest/Father. I know a lot of Roman Catholics that are very "real" Christians. All churchs have there rituals and traditions. So, none is to say that one is wrong, except for them selfs. One of my oldest daughters best friends was confermed last year. For any Prodistent to say that the Roman Chatholic Church is a cult is ignorant of what a Christian is.
on the other hand, the Mormons and Jahova Wittnesses are cults. I know much about both, and half my family is Mormon. So Please be careful when you assume that us Prodistents are idealests. If a Roman Catholic has accepted Christ as there savior, and has made him Lord of his/her life, there is no seperain in the "bride of Christ". I am happy to expound more if you or anyone needs.
Oh, sorry for butting in again where I was not asked. But the "Church of England" was also a break from the Roman Catholic Chruch. Most everything was kept, with the exception of the Papal Seat. The King of England took that seat. There, I know, were other breaks, but that is the major difference (I know I cant spell).
OK David breathe. I think you are one of the most spiritual persons I have ever known and God Bless you. I think you misunderstood what I was saying. First of all you can't be a Protestant catholic. You're either one or the other. "Christians" or more precisely "Born again Christians" believe that their way is the only way and thats that. Catholics are held in a lesser standard. Not by you to be sure but by some others. Thats OK. I haven't practiced as a Catholic in many years. As I said I can be out on the lake and take in all that my lord and saviour has put forth for me to take in and enjoy and tell myself,"Yea this is living".I was referring to someone who is lost spiritually and is adrift at sea with no bearings. I still say that I am a Protestant Catholic by the definition set forth after the Council of Nicaea in the 4th century B.C.. I will not quibble over names, you know what I mean. The "bride of Christ", or "Church", or "Body" is one for the true believer.
