Well, put me on the side of men that sometimes like to please themselves.

Seriously though. Speaking of tyranny wasn't it old Honest Abe that suspended Habeus Corpus?
Seems like a good and decent man and Lord knows he had his burdens but read his history and see if you don't think if that wasn't one seriously conflicted individual.
He once walked 100 feet back to the shores of Lake Michigan when his canoe ran onto a sandbar. He fed his entire cabinet with only 2 cans of tuna and a loaf of Wonder bread. And lastly, during the election he was crucified by a bunch of religious zealots only to later rise from the dead.

typical - I posted about Obama and how he claims the mantle of Abe Lincoln and espouses how much he admires him, yet I think he shares none of his beliefs.
What do you do? call Lincoln gay and talk about Habeus Corpus. (wait till BO's 'fusion centers' really kick off - but that's another topic)
Funny how you on the left can make an innuendo about someone being gay and it isn't considered homo "phobic" or even in bad taste.

As to whether or not Lincoln was gay - I could care less. Doesn't make him any less of a great man and President. And yes there has always persisted the thought that Lincoln was gay.
That rumor is most likely bullshit. It started probably from the discovery that while Lincoln was a poor starving lawyer in Illinois he shared a bed with another man in a rooming house.
Apparently a not uncommon practice among the working poor back in those times.
As you say, regardless. A man that carried the weight of the world on his shoulders from non stop personal and public tragedy.
