MOTW - Rainy Days

We had a squall come through yesterday, not the hardest I've seen but enough to flood a number of streets and stop most outdoors work. Good day for Coffee and Baileys.

That was one rainstorm! I'm happy that there are no fires but, rain that constant can make me feel a little blue.

A rain like always meant skim boarding on the road front of UOG.

On Guam, Rain meant a cool break. Kinda like temporary AC.

or plugging the drains down by the Sickler's house. Our own swimming pool. Thats true they had the whole house AC'ed. We only did the bedrooms and when we were sleeping. I still do that in my house I only cool the room I am in. Thats why I never get any house work done. Too hot in the other parts of the house.lol

I admit, I use the air, but we leave it on 81 or higher at times. Mom and dad never even put in AC here until like 2 yrs before dad died. 2001.
I do remember when my grandparents came to visit one summer, dad bought a window AC for their room. He did the same thing on Guam when they visited. They were born in Wisconsin, lol. I guess my parents didn't want to chance them being miserable. They wern't and had a great time! childhood memories I will cherish.
I'll never forget my grandpa weaved a hat out of palm frauns. It was lopsided, but he wore it.:)
