Florida

Just want to get off the political thing for a moment. But you all are welcome to continue after this!

There was a story about a dude that built a castle out of coral in florida that was in the news today. Rather he was a pint size man (90 pounds and only 5 feet tall) that did wonders that people today don't know how he accomplished it? All you living on the sand bank they call Florida ought to check out 'The Secrets of Coral Castle'!

And going down memory lane, I remember visiting a place called the 'Old Jail' when I was about 5 or 6 years old. They place does exist! I found it on line! It too is in Florida! I was there 40 years ago!

Actually, the good part of the history of this Castle that he built, is that he built it for a 'love' that left him 25 years pior. He built it for her, but she never did see it or come back to him. He died a lone man. Now that is true love in my book! Yet he left this world with engineers wondering 'how in the world did he build it'? To this day, it is a mystery.

OK, now back to politics as usual! GO!

Ric, I have no idea what your talking about but thanks for logging back on. The political thing as you call it is not going away. Don't be afraid to express your views and maybe get beat up over them. Such is life. As parents (or grand parents for some of us) what kind of message are we sending if when the going gets tough we just "log off" for a while. All of us on this blog share something in common thats special and unique. Welcome back. And it's time for some politikin!

You know, I lived in the "Circle" a long time and saw a lot of kids come and go and since being a parent I have lived in a lot of neighborhoods and have seen a lot of families come and go. All of us here have been there and done that and have had their fair share of adversity I'm sure. Don't ever run off. If someone pisses you off just tell them and be done with it and get on with it.

...and Mat, I find that I (myself)don't make a lot of sense when I write. And I also suck big time at at spelling!

But I must say, that it is so good to hear from all you Dean's Circle Gang! And I am 'man enough' to take punches, and am willing to give flowers as well!

Yea Mat, you were there when my brother Sean was first there, and then again years later when he and we returned as the Perdew/Larson family.

Ric, You make plenty sense and the spelling doesn't matter as long as you can get your point across. Don't be afraid to get in the foray. Just jump in. Sometimes I get carried away because I can't think of the right verbiage but I hang in there and hope I don't piss anyone off to much. Kind of like when we were kids huh? Sams right in a way in that I am retarded (well maybe not entirely) I sucked in school and probably the best thing I have going for me is my mechanical aptitude. I love working on shit. Whether it's taking a washing machine apart at work or wrenching on my Caprice. Now I gotta work on Mr Larsons Monte Carlo. I just put new front shocks on it and am still trying to smooth out the idle. But when I'm out wrenching it kind of gives me this calm you know? Life is short. We come into this world and do what we're supposed to do and thats it. It's late and I gotta go.
Check it tomorrow.

You know Mat, I can't even change a light bulb w/o getting zapped, match cloths, and when I tie my shoes...I tie them together! But I can talk with some one that is down in the dumps and make them feel a little better about themselves. That is about all that I am worth or can do.

As for the word 'retarded', I hate that word! I believe every individual on this planet has a God-given reason and purpose for being on this here. No one person, in...'my book' is greater than anyone else because of education, intelect or skill. We are all given a gift in one thing or another. Yours is with machanics! Me? I'm still searching for it.

Thanks Mat for your inspiration! Talk to you'tz soon! Ric

Mat, I have to say that I always think you do an excellent job at getting your point across in a positive way...you always make me think and I enjoy reading your posts. I already knew your story-telling skills were excellent from being at the reunion but I think you're awesome at writing too.
