Good one Paul! Do you remember the five that hung around our sliding glass door up at PA eating all the Tender Vitals Petunia left in her bowl. They used to sit around the dish, we had some fat toads!

Any one think about the slimy snales lately. WWII Nipper snacks.

I am going to make this my screen saver today.

Juliet, I especially remember the smell of the migrating snails.
Paul, I assume they still cross the roads.
I will have to replace your flowers with this as well.

Thank you again Paul. I have to say, you do us the best on here. I think everyone should give you a big hug.

Dang it, the resolution is too much or something, there are lots of pixels squares, or whatever you computer geeks call them :)
I will keep it anyway.

Yea I remamber them flattened on the road and dropping cement blocks on them and especially running them over with the lawn mower ugh. Sometimes the toad would catch it just right and get flung out alive minus some legs. Then I'd run him over again. You always had to hose off underneath the mower afterwards.Hahahha.

Mat, you forgot pouring oil on them.

DRL said...

Mat, what are you doing up so late? Are you changing the oil for the fun of it, or did you get Internet at home???

mat said...

Yea I got internet at home. And I will change the oil on the Neon(Vegas Mobile) this weekend. I just did the Monte Carlo a month ago and the Caprice is due next month. My van (89 chevy Astro) is due month after next. Always something to do. I'm a time manager. I also take care of my daughter Jana's cars in Pueblo.'91 Toyota p/up v6 and '96 Nissan Sentra and my son in laws '74 Ford Maverick(302 v-8) Yeh the car blood runs thick through my veins.

Well cool, it is best to do each car separately, that spreads the oil thinner in the land fill.

Have a good night.

Mat,I think of the good old days.Remember the Chen Family,a penny per snail. Cruz store was within walking distance and every penny counted:) I'm sorry Bro.

Matt are you making this up. Small animal torture a real sick puppy. I remember my dog King used to roll in the dead, dried out flatten toads on the road. Ugh what a stinker

mat said...

Juliet I don't make stuff up and I'm not the only one that did it either. They're toads not puppies. There was a whole bunch of sick stuff went on back on the circle..They were no diferent than mice and we catch them with snap traps. The glue boards are worse. A mouse will gnaw his leg off trying to get unstuck. We also used to steal big ol syringes from the science building and shoot toads up with gas to see how high they would jump.Hahaha. Ok I won't tell any more of those stories. I don't want to offend you. But we were kids.

And Jo, I remember the Chans to. They lived across from us and were good friends with my parents. I didn't get in on their snail action though I remember it. I think that was you younger kids little enterprise. I think a whole bunch of kids did it but I don't remember doing it. I was the lawn king with Pete. We did the yards. Snail pikin was to boring for us. No engines involved. Although I remember running over a ton of them with my mower. Sometimes you'd catch em just right and those suckers would fly! Okay sorry I'll stop now.Hahahaha Sorry too your still my sis.
