So... these people are perfectly normal?

Dave...what's really normal???? They look like they are having a really good time. Who are they harming? As Americans don't they have the same rights as all of us to do what makes them happy as long as they aren't hurting anyone?

Cindy, are you saying that the homosexuals that rape, torture and kill are normal? What about those who destroy families?
You are entering a slippery slope if you defend them.
I will never demean someone as you have. But as Dave has, I will call what is wrong, wrong.

Cindy and RAC, I think I know allot more about God and what God hates.

God hates the sin and loves the sinner.

I you wish to discuss what God is, let me know. You know I would love to witness to you. We can put aside any differences and talk.

Once again DRL, tell me where I said that rape, torture, and killing are okay? It's a relief to know that we have a person on our blog who has direct access to God and can tell us exactly what He's thinking. I guess I've been totally wrong all this time that God was all about love, not hate and judgement.

I know Cindy isn't it cool. It's almost like having a piece of toast with the Virgin Mary's image on it. Too bad we weren't aware of DRL's righteousness while we were in Vegas - he could have blessed us and freed us from our sins. I can't wait until he starts his own church and I can start sending him all my money.

Wow. Dave you started a fire storm.

You know, I don't begrudge Dave his opinion about homosexuality. He is as entitled to his beliefs as the gays are theirs. What I find offensive is DRL's lies about what others say and he's self-righteous attitude. It really is rather sickening. It's fine to express your own opinion but don't try to put words in others mouths.

Dave, you have made your point crystal clear, at least to me. From looking at this video, these gays that I see here sure must have some real serious identity, gender, and probably emotional issues.

Dave said...

My first point is that homosexuals are gay. I'm sure they are having a great time being gay, and in America it has become their right. My secondary point is that liberals are so quick to defend them. And rac has proven my third point, that when someone speaks out against homosexuality as a moral issue, liberals will be the first to attack Christianity and/or Christians. And Cindy, no offense intended, but I think you have a pretty good idea as do most of us, what normal behavior is. Sorry Juls, I know this is a hot topic, one that some of the DC gang seem to have switched sides on, since those days on the curb.

rac said...

Not quite Dave, I never said I was the defender of all things gay. In fact, I actually defended your right to homophobia. Like mat, I really don't give a damn what goes on between consenting adults. My comments regarding Christianity and homosexuality was merely to point to the source of the anti-gay emotion. Granted my example was extreme (I was mostly trying to show DRL what he was sounding like), but the truth is the anti-gay thing is a key tenet of fundamentalist Christian belief (is it not?). Don't be so sensitive man.

Cindy, we all have a direct line to God, he is the Holy Spirit. The Word of God is the only way to know. If you read it without bias, you will see it.
God not hate and judgement????? Really???? 128 times the Bible talks about what God hates. Did you know that. How about judgement, now that is a good one. 211 times. Like I said, I study the Word of God and love to discuss it. I study word for word without bias. I take it for what it says, and don't twist it at all. I have two things I keep in mind at all times when I study.
1. I don't have to like it to believe it.
2. I don't have to understand it to believe it.

God is Love. Not the love we know. There are 3 kinds of love in the Greek.
Phileo, with several tenses. This is brotherly love. A love we have for one another.
Then there is Erestos, which is erotic love. Mainly used for the love between a husband and wife. Can be used as any sexual love.
Then, Agape love. This is the Love God has for us. It is unconditional love, or unfailing love. That is the kind of love God is, with this, he can not look upon evil. If you are not washed with the blood of Christ and worship him as Lord, God can not look upon you or hear you.

The largest and most misunderstood part of God is how he can forgive someone like me. I am in many ways worse than any homosexual. I do not judge anyone on my own accord, but what God has said and that includes myself. I will not cast a stone, but if you ask me what sin is, I will tell you.
RAC, in case you missed it earlier, I am not righteous. In Fact the Bible says that my righteousness is like filthy rags. Therefore, if it is my righteousness that upsets you, think of what God thought of me before I gave myself over to him. Think of what he went through on the cross, knowing who I really am.

Juls, I know you meant the other Dave, but I did not mean to upset Cindy or RAC, But rather am on this blog like they are. My belief is not as valid as theirs is.

I do not want anyone to be upset with me for what I believe, don't take offence.

Oh and Dave, The late Pastor Reggie White once said after being attacked by liberals in the media for a prayer, "If I am being attacked by liberals, then I am probably doing the right thing" (paraphrase). He meant that liberals will not attack immorality, but rather morality. I feel pretty good when I am attacked for speaking for God. When was the last time you saw a liberal attack immoral behavior?

DRL said...

I am not a homophobe, and I am against anything that is wrong. Including things that I do wrong. I am just as against cursing, murder, lying, cheating, adultery, taking Gods name in vain, bigotry, etc.........
What is wrong with being against the same things that God is against. I would rather be on Gods side, than the liberals side.

DRL said...

Sean, I kind of said it earlier, but it is okay to judge a conservative, but a conservative is not allowed to comment.

Why is it that conservatives and Christians are the ones that have to be tolerant, and liberals don't tolerate conservatives or Christians??????? The big question.

Sean call me some time, I talked to Ric a few hours ago.

Everyone has a right to their opinion and share it as they see fit. I think that some people including myself have posted a new blog to start a dialog, and many times knowing full well in advance that it will start a big fire storm. What has this accomplished? To me, nothing but divisive ways to put people on opposing sides rather than bring us together. Dog gone it! Maybe the only spiritual gift that God gave me was the desire for peace. I give praise to Paul, he brings the pictures of the island to us.
