Coast Guard rocks... even if they do paint pot leaves on the sides of their ships.

Thanks Cindy and to all of you who remember the Coast Guard. The other services take a lot of heat while we try to keep it cool, but I will never forget what those brave men and women have done for me and for this great country we live in. And not only that, I salute all of you civilians out there who support us. We are in this thing together.

Well said Dave! All branches of the service are like a well kept machine. All have there own purpose or mission, but have the same goal, to keep us all free!

Hi Dave, Remember the "Guardian" It was then that I realized the true scope of your carreer.Especially off of Guam also. My brother Dean had a terrible experience with vertigo. He could no longer tell where his boat was and the reef.I was with one of his best friends when the chopper flew over. I was shocked when my husbnd said "he may not be alive" I coudn't fathom that thought. Thank-You and all who are there for us.

I have always thought of the Coast Guard as Navy. When I refer to "Sailors", I refer to the Guard as well. I know Dave is an Airman, even Naval Airmen are Sailors.
