Doug, BEWARE!

Watch out for that nasty Chinese drywall. Don't let your contractor hose you. Call your insurance company and insist on genuine gypsum board made in the USA.

It's not necesarily toxic to humans but could totally F*** your house up. And anything that nasty can't be good for you or your family either. Just a heads up from someone who spent many years in the trades and has learned to not cut corners when it comes to building materials.By the way hows the cleanup coming.

Yeah thanks Matt our drywall is good old USA stuff. Friggin' expensive. This week is paint all the rooms. We picked out carpet which will be installed after the painting is done. Best guess is sometime early mid next week should hopefully be done.
The drainage guys are there starting today. That part I'm actually pretty fired up about because now I'm going to have this wall in my backyard which opens up a whole new set of landscaping possibilities. I'll post pictures when it's all done.
While hauling off carpet and the associated crap with it on Saturday I stepped on a fucking nail. Pissed me off.
