Long cool woman in a black dress. I can still see the pinball machine, pool table and that window at the end of the store that they kept propped open with a 2 x 4.
$.25 for a pack of Kools. $.25 for a can of Schlitz. 3 games of pinball for a quarter. And no charge for Mrs Cruz bitching at us for shaking the pinball machine too hard.
Lana Doug!

If ever you wanted to find someone and they weren't anywhere around the circle, Cruz store would be the place to look.

Cruz Store will be embedded in my mind until I die. I remember begging my Dad for money so I could go. A lot of ya'all were older than me but, our generation,Amy,Jinny,Stevie,Dean and all the small kids would follow you guys there, wanted or not:)Great memories Dave. You always come through!!:)

I remember the pool table, the sound machine, the wooden floors that creaked with every step, and buying a pack of 'KOOL's sold to this once minor for .35 cents, from a 'long haired white guy' that one time took my 'pure silver quarter' and regualar dime. I asked him for the silver quarter back in exchange for a regular quarter, but he said that it was now his. (I knew the value of the siver quarter and so did he..and I also knew that he just screwed me out of a siver quater). Does any one know what ever became of him? But yet, that is still a good memory of Guam to me.

Traveling through my memory banks, the'Cruz Store' ...really did not sell much but 'KOOL's', 'pickeled papaya's', and the 'pool table money'. THE MEMORIES! HAPPY MEMORIES!
