Happy birthday little brother (well, bigger brother in size and intelligence). Love from your big little brother Ric and Sister-in-law Teresita. Nice to be 27 years old again!

I have a pretty good idea how Sean was made but how the hell does one make an unassisted triple play?

Happy Birthday Sean.

Sean... Happy Birthday to a fellow Taurus!!!

Rac, remember the song, "three times a lady"? Well in base ball you have to be just as good for "unassisted triple play".

Happy B-Day Sean!!! Yes you must tell us how the heck does one make an unassisted triple???

Let's say you're playing third base with the bases loaded nobody out. Batter hits a screaming liner to you which you catch then step on third for the force before the runner that had been on third and broke for home can get back to third and then you tag out the runner who was attempting to advance from second to third. Unassisted triple play.

Thank you Doug. It is about the rarest play in baseball. the last time was with the 2007 ROCKIES (YEA, GO ROCKIES). This usually happens when as you said, a line drive is hit, base runners advance not expecting it to be caught by an infielder. with both runners advancing and tagging an advancing player, force out of the advanced runner as he is unable to get back to his previous base.

Thanks, everyone, for the birthday wishes. I didn't login to the blog yesterday, so I'm just seeing these today.

And, let's not forget Kelley, whose birthday was on the 6th.
