Bamboo Forest

I remember that there was a 'Bamboo Forest' on Guam. I thing, ...(but could be very wrong), that the forest was at the bottom of the hill that lead to the Nimitz Restaurant? I was told by many respectable adults at the time that; "if you ever entered the 'Bamboo Forest' you may never come back out...alive" (because you lost all sense of orientation).

Ric, we had a small bamboo forest in front of our house (3'X5')at Dean's Circle. I never got lost, well that someone couldn't lead me out, anyway. I hated touching them and getting the black seeds on me. Oh yea, and being speared while playing war with a bamboo spear. Hum, yea, that was worse than the seeds.

I'd say so.

I remeber that place. It was one of my favorite spots on the island. As I recall it was the scene of some pretty intense fighting in WWII.

Top o the Mar,right? They're still there, Mongolian Bar-b-q. Yes, intense fighting. Their are new walls with all who fell,U.S. and Chamorro's and everyone involved.

Just never forget to ask permission! I do that all the time because of a story my Dad told me.There was a professor who refused to ask down at Marine lab(5th in the world FYI)Well his leg blew up,swelling and all. Finally he saw a suruhanu who told him to just ask.According to my Dad his leg went back to normal,GMH couldn't help him...
