So...reading the PDN website I see where Mobil raised the price of regular to $4.20 a gallon. Just out of curiosity what's it running in your neck of the woods?

We drove to Jackson Hole, Wyoming today. We filled up at home (Idaho Falls, Id) for $3.27 gal (87 octoane). In Jackson Hole (a resort town) it was $3.22 Gal.
I'm really appreciating my little Honda Civic..It's 40 miles round trip for me to work... when I filled up yesterday was $3.51 a gallon.
Just north of New York City where I live, it is near $3.70 a gallon for regular unleaded. I am currently in Savannah, Ga., where I believe I just paid $3.27 a gallon for the same regular unleaded.
Here it's $4.07 for regular unleaded and only going up.
But may I also add the other true reality; if all taxes were dropped from gasoline prices, we we would be paying 1/2 of what we are paying now. True, the gas companies are making a killing on there profits. But those profits keep the companies going, paying wages to workers and keeping our oil based ecomomy going. With out oil, we would revert back to the stone ages.
But consider if goverments on all levels were to drop there taxations on gasoline, we would be paying 1/2 of what we are paying now on a gallon of gas. The goverment is making more of a profit on gas than the oil industries, and they haven't even invested a single cent into the gasoline industry.
$3.89 for discount petrol here in Sacto, over $4 for the good stuff.
I heard that's what made Aloha Airlines go belly up.
In NH, we're at about $3.40 per gallon.
$3.40 to $3.80 depending on which part of the state you're in.
Ric, I agree. The oil companies make a good profit (that is why people go into buysnes). The Goverment has done nothing to make money off petroleum product, yet they take a greater profit than the people who have to pay to have the crude extracted, refined, transported, or supplied. It is the same with tabacco products, liqour.
Just arrived in SC tonight. Prices dropped to $3.17 from Ga.'s $3.27 a gallon.
People's Republic of California - $4.00. I love this state!
Becki, one of the happiest days of my life is when I left the 'Peoples Republic of California' and moved to Alaska. I was in Sacramento for 2 very long years.
Regular unleaded just went up again.$4.17 a gallon.
Ric:
I love the "Peoples Republic," I just don't understand how kids survive to adulthood without Sacramento intervening.
Becki, where I worked in the 'Peoples Republic', all the kids there were 'Wards of the State'. There parents sneezed wrong, we got'em for up to 18 months.
What's with Sacramento? It went from gas prices to kids acting out,I think. Yeah, unleaded is now $4.19.90 .Weird we're closer than you guys:0
Joanna, unless you have lived there, it's difficult to explain.
Just arrived in Viginia tonight on our slow track to New York. Unleaded regular $3.47 a gallon.
$3.64/gallon in Anchorage, Alaska. It's higher in the rural areas (at least $4.75).
And what about all the gas that comes out of Alaska!
Sarah
Sarah, as a former resident of Alaska, I can tell you that the oil piped out of Alaska goes to Japan. Why? Who knows? Maybe they sell it back to us at a higher rate? But I sure do miss those annual dividends $$$$$$!
Moments ago, I just returned back to by 'base camp' in New York from the very humid South. Gas actually dropped from $3.70 to $3.56 a gallon in New York were I live.
Remember everyone, almost 1/2 of the price you pay for gasoline is TAXES.
$4.00 bucks a gallon now. What a difference a day makes? There goes my beer fund.......Aaaaahhh!
RIC ARE YOU CRAZY!!! YOU CAN WALK, OR HAVE YOU LOVELY WIFE CARRY YOU AROUND, BUT DON'T CUT OUT THE BEER. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
Oh, I guess I should start drinking beer more to get ready for the reunion. hu.
