2.6 gallons per flush

Not really sure what your point is but I'm going out on a limb here and assume you are complaining that the government is regulating how much water your toilet uses. From your string of posts recently I think conservative is not the correct moniker for you Sean; anarchist would be much more appropriate. I wonder if you feel there are any areas were government regulation is appropriate? I get the impression you feel we should eliminate all federal laws and regulatory agencies. And if not Sean, what areas do you feel it would be appropriate for the feds to have control? Just wondering.

Those 2.6 gal toilets sure work great.Do the 1.6 gal? yea they do alright.I think the point is yes we need the fed to get out of some of our affairs and rights as individuals. But I think they should leave us alone and let us make our own decisions.2.6 gal per flush?Who cares if I'm paying the water bill.

So what happens when you live in a place where a lack of water is an issue (California, Atlanta, Phoenix, etc)? Does the government have the right to place restrictions on water consumption? At what point does the good of the whole outweigh the rights/wants of the individual? Or do they ever?

I'm no anarchist.

The point is the feds make a 'feel good' law about how much water a toilet may use per flush. Great we're all conserving water!

But, in reality, we're probably wasting muc more water because (sorry for TMI) one flush just doesn't cut it any more. Do the feds have any policy to actually follow up on their mandates to see how they're working? no.

The f-ing crapers choke on the crap now. I've heard of a thriving black market in Canada for toilets. This is just wrong.

Libs are always touting evolution, yet they seem to want us back in teh stone age. Perhaps I should just dig a whole in the back yard and take my dumps there?

Actually we just went to 2.6 because they were being given away free and one flush is enough! Since I live in a drought state, I just it would be nice to give back a little. For what it's worth :)

Sean, there is a simple solution to your problem... less fiber, dude.

What do you do if you live where a lack of water is an issue? Move where the water is!Hahahaha.Seriously though.Municipalities keep bitching about lack of rain fall, snow fall, reservoirs running at all time low levels. And then they grant building permits to big developers for big ass projects that require copious(thats my ten dollar word of the day)amounts of water and put us homeowners on watering schedules for our lawns.Huh? Have you ever toured a municipal water treatment facility? So much of what we use is recycled and returned back to the supply side. Not to mention all the catchments and runoff control and redirection systems in place around every town. Here in the Springs they(the city council) formed an enterprise "The Colorado Springs Stormwater Enterprise" and they tax you(Oh my bad, it's not a tax it's a fee)on the size of your home and the impact of the water runoff from your home on the environment.See,water or alleged lack there of is just another political football that keeps getting thrown in our faces when it's being percieved that we don't care."What about those poor Africans"(or any one else that lives where there is a more limited supply)So? Like if I water my lawn less there's gonna be more water somewhere else.Stoopid!

Is there any law that says you can't flush twice? Courtesy flush? Flush and hold the lever down? Triple flush even????

OK - I'll say it before RAC does.

I must be full of shit to be worried about the 2.6 gallons.

Wow Dave, what if the Gov. finds a way of monitoring how many flushes you do after each visit to the office (restroom). Meters on the commode! Question: And just how many gallons of water do those 'Atomic Powered Toilets' use (like the ones in hi-rises) that could even suck a person down into?

Well we must be going backwards Ric. This ones for you Doug(because you're the "elder")no offense. But remember back in the day when the "man" was putting filters on drain waste pipes in Ca. to catch people who were flushing their dope down the toilet when they got raided? Thankfully President Obama doesn't seem to give a shit about our pot laws and may actually take steps to lessen them. OK for all you liberals thats about as much as I'll concede to you guys for "Change".

My bad...we're actually 1.2 (and they were free). And one flush does it.

If it is yellow, let it mellow, if it is brown flush it down
