RAC, I haven't read "Thunderbolt of Gods", but yes, in fact the Zodiac can be traced back to Babylon, when the Hebrews were held captive by Nebakanezer and Belshazzar. the Magi came from the same region and studied the skies.
Interpretation of the "heavens" is dependent on what you believe. I personally don't believe that the Zodiac (I know that's not what you were referring to) are connected to the Bible.

Non-Public eggs. Not meant for the public, is how I interrupted it? After two days of staring at that photo, it finally dawned on me! But I still may be wrong?

Juls,
David and Goliath is a real event that is to show the "power of God". If you remember, David said that it was not him (being a boy, not old enough for battle. you had to be 21 to fight in the Hebrew army) but God that would win. It was his faith in the "living God" that would prevail. Okay, David used the sling and hit Goliath in the head. The stone "sunk into Goliaths skull". David would not have had the strength to hit a giant that hard. So it was ether divine intervention, or as some have said, hit him in a softened bone structure. Thus allowing the stone to "sink in" to Goliaths skull. what ever the case, Goliath fell and the Philistines were defeated.
Oddly enough, the Philistines were the toughest adversary the Jewish people had.
Today the Palestinian people are the toughest adversary the Jewish people have. The work "Palestine" is the new translation of "philistine". It is the word given the land of Israel after the Jews were defeated in 70 A.D., and has kept the name since. The Philistines were wiped out long ago. The people calling themselves "Palestinians" are actually from a nomad band of Arabs.
question. It was God that took down Goliath, not David. It is a symbol of how God is the conqueror of our battles, not ourselves.
I hope that answered your question.

Pssst, DRL, wrong thread. You should be posting this under "Ask a Bible Question". But I like what you posted!

Ric,
Elijah was the only one involved with the "chariot of fire". Ezekiel saw what looked like four wagon wheels in his vision. could be considered to look like "flying saucers". But as the Bible explains, they were "angels".
To the second part of your question. No, Elijah did go up to Heaven without a physical death. The other was other was Enoch. I will have to look it up, but the text says, "Enoch walked with God and was no more". He is the second and only other that (Biblical) did not have a physical death.
To the third part. Some say the the two who are the "witnesses" in the book of Revelations are Elijah and Enoch. It is because they are the only two in the Bible not to suffer the sting of physical death.
Others say that it is Elijah and Moses. that is because Moses was not allowed to enter the "Promised Land". It is debatable where the "mount of transfiguration" was. If it was west of the Jordan River, then Moses did eventually enter the "promised Land", but if it is east of the Jordan River, then he never entered the "Promised Land". So, it is all dependant on which line of schooling you lean. I really don't know or care. I will leave that up to God. If I have understood the Bible correctly, then I is post rapture when the "two messengers" enter Jerusalem in the "last days". Oh, and it is "mid tribulation" when they come back. Not, after the tribulation.
