I didn't know RAC? I loved the guy. Listened to him daily since I was a kid on the 'rock'. Sad. He is with his 'Grace' now I suppose.

RAC, you beat me to it.

The first time I hear Paul Harvey was when I cam with my father for a stateside "visit" back in '77 (I haven't returned to Guam since then).

We stayed at my great grandparents house in Keyser, WV. The whole place was rather alien to me - this ancient house, my "hobbit-like" great grandparents and the ancient radio in the room I slept in. I remember hearing Paul Harvey's news and commentary then and I tried to listen whenever I could from then on.

He will be missed.

He always ended his broadcasts with that "Good Day", only there was that slight inflection like he was almost asking a question.
Kind of saying I think that part was up to us.
The world loses another artful purveyor of the written and spoken word.

Ditto that Doug! Paul Harvey.A hell of a citizen and a hell of an American. And to be honest,I think he was the most sincere,non-judgemental commentator I ever heard. No dissing political parties just putting stuff out there and telling it like it is.He will be sorely missed. Rest easy Mr.Harvey. You've earned it.

Too bad we did not get Paul Harvey in Guam. I remember the first time I heard him as well. Just moved back to Idaho in '81. I have tried loved him since.

He was a Conservitive Christan and a Libatarian in politics. He proposed the "flat tax" back when I was first listenting to hem. He treated all stories as a true Jurnalist, without bias. But if you ever get a hold of some transcrips of speaches, he was a true man's man. He loved his wife with a true love.

He will be missed by all.

DRL, we did get Paul Harvey on Guam. That is where I first heard him, think I or we were riding around with Grand in his white Honda.

Ric, where was I? I know I must have been in the Honda, but where was I?
