Pope to turn Vatican into Commune

Only a few days after Roman Catholic Easter, the tradition's faith leaders announced a plan to care for God's Creation by harvesting energy from sunlight. Solar photovoltaic (PV) power exists in a small scale all over the world, from arrays less than 1 kW to a couple dozen MW. But the Holy See just announced that they intend to build what would today be the world's biggest solar PV system at 100 MW. Continue...

Wikipedia: Papal infallibility is the dogma in Catholic theology that, by action of the Holy Spirit, the Pope is preserved from even the possibility of error when he solemnly declares or promulgates to the Church a dogmatic teaching on faith or morals as being contained in divine revelation, or at least being intimately connected to divine revelation. It is also taught that the Holy Spirit works in the body of the Church, as sensus fidei, to ensure that dogmatic teachings proclaimed to be infallible will be received by all Catholics.

“The destruction of the environment, its improper or selfish use, and the violent hoarding of the Earth’s resources cause grievances, conflicts and wars, precisely because they are the consequences of an inhumane concept of development.” Pope Benedict XVI

“You offend God not only by stealing, taking the Lord’s name in vain or coveting your neighbor’s wife but also by wrecking the environment,” Bishop Gianfranco Girotti, head of the Apostolic Penitentiary

Here's another great solar story. PG&E plans to built a satellite to collect solar energy and beam it to Earth via an RF wave. Solar energy 24/7. Tesla would be proud.

Sang by the Rock Group Tesla. The song was about how Tesla did all this great work, but then Edison took most of the credit for it.

"You're guilty of crime in the first degree,
Second and third as well.
My jury finds you'll be serving your time
When you go straight to hell.

'Cause he was Lord of the Lightning,
Though "socially fright'ning",
But never out to sell.

Their nickels and pence
Meant more than did sense,
And not the sensible thing.

Nor did the man outta time, man outta time.
Thought you was crazy. You was one of a kind.
Man outta time, man outta time.
All along, world was wrong. You was right.

All that he saw, all he conceived,
They just could not believe.
Steinmetz and Twain were friends that remained,
Along with number three.
He was electromagnetic, completely kinetic,
"New Wizard of the West."
But they swindled and whined that he wasn't our kind,
And said Edison knew best.

You took a shot and it did you in.
Edison's medicine.
You played your cards, but you couldn't win.
Edison's medicine.

I spent twelve years of hard time,
More like the best years of my life.
Never heard or read a single word
About "the man" and his "wicked mind."
They'll sell you on Marconi.
Familiar, but a phony.
Story goes they sold their souls
And swore that you'd never know...

You took a shot and it did you in.
Edison's medicine.
You played your cards, but you couldn't win.
Edison's medicine.

Ric, you are right. Not only that, but Tesla was promised much by Edison who never delivered.

Tesla was a great mind. I think many of his works have been locked away as government secrets and we may never know the extend of his brilliance.

If you are interested, there was a great novel based on his work:

"Ghost Dancer" by John Case.

Another interesting note, the author is actually a couple who write together under that nom de plum.

Are you kidding DRL? Tesla never delivered? Nikola Tesla did more to advance technology than any person who ever lived. Edison was a business man - Tesla was a genius.

DRL said Edison didn't deliver, not Tesla.

Oh yes, my bad, sorry.

RAC, all is good. My grammar is so poor, and I was a little off subject line. Keep watching me, I do talk out of place at times.
