Vegas Baby

There's been an awful lot of empty talk about reunions and such on this blog and I for one am tired of it. I say it's time we get off our asses and start putting this thing together. Of course the first order of business is to find a suitable location. After serious contemplation I came up with the following: Vegas Baby! IMO Las Vegas makes perfect sense because:

  1. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas

  2. It's within driving distance... for me! lol

  3. There's something for everyone

  4. Hookers and gambling

  5. Plenty of hotels

  6. Airfare specials galore

  7. It's half way between Guam and Cairo (the long way around)

  8. They don't call it Sin City for nothing

There you have it. If someone has a better idea then toss it out here. I would suggest we schedule it for the fall in order to give everyone plenty of time to plan ahead. What do you guys think? Can we make this happen?

RAC, best idea yet! Nice plan, perfect location...and lots of time to plan ahead! Count me and Teresa in! (My wife always wanted to meet the 'normal' people that I grew up with on the 'rock')!

Pat, I never been there either, except for flying in and out of the airport. I use to live in Sacramento, Ca., visited Reno alot. When I lived in Idaho, I use to visit Jackpot, NV. Vegas will be a new experience for me!

O.K. folks, if we are serious about this, as I think the RAC'ster and the rest of us are that responded to this; whom is going to be deligated to wear the 'plad skirt', playing the 'travel agent', and orginizing this whole thing? (God knows, I love chicks in plad skirts. So you had better be cute)!

If we are all serious, then maybe this can be done on a collective scale?

Good point Ric. We need someone to put this thing together. I would but I suck at that kind of thing; I'm more of a dreamer than a doer. Does(Is) anyone know/sleep with/related to a travel agent?

The Dean's Circle Gang. Always the dreamers. I will be living in Nevada by then and within driving distance. I'm not sure what my employment status will be at that time, but for the first time in over 30 years, I'll be able to tell my boss... "take this job and shove it" ...if I have to. So for now, count me in. Guam and Hawaii may be the tougher ones to convince.

RAC, I wanted to sleep with a travel agent once, does that count?

Mat, I will bring my wife! Can't wait to see your wife again!

I talked to Becki last night and she said she has some "contacts" in Vegas and may be able to work on something. I do know she is a very busy lady.

Been there twice. Last time was on business 10 years or so ago. Stayed at the MGM Grand. Nice place. Someone "in the know" told me to play the dollar slots at 5AM because that's when they reset or somesuch but they turned out to be full of shit. $5 single deck blackjack at the Horseshoe is the game. Best odds, loose comps. It's in the old Vegas, way off the strip.
I'd love to come. Little bit far for me to drive obviously. Flying out of this two horse town I live in is something of an ordeal but I'll manage.

Doug, you're in Tallahasse right? Well, as you know, Cindy and I are in Ft.Myers. I'm not sure about her, but i'm surely not driving to Vegas, so quit your cryin. We'll come pick u up on our brooms and we'll all fly there together.

If a date and time get set for this, let me know - I might be able to fly in for a day or two.... Who's the point person for this?
