What they don't tell you

For anyone thinking of visiting Utah you might want to check out this site first. It's an index of air quality throughout the nation. A quick glance will tell you the Salt Lake area currently has the worst air in the country… and it ain't lying. The smog here is so think you can't see the mountains, let alone breath. Might be a good time to visit Guam instead.

RAC, remember one of the first questions you asked me. I was about the fog. RAC lies not. The only thing is He and me are the only ones that have to go through the Utard state. Once we get through the Virgin Gorge (yes, that is the real name), it is clean (punn intended) sailing.

Hi, I wrote earlier but,it didn't make it. I've been to Roy,Utah and it was "pheeew". I never knew salt could smell so bad.I did have fun and my daughter saw snow for the 1st time. I agree let's head to Guam or another island for an island's sake. The ocean smells great:)!!!I know ,Vegas,Vegas,Vegas.Drl, Virgin Gorge is real?

So when we left Guam we landed in SF, rented a station wagon and picked up one of our cars from Guam that we had shipped back earlier. So there were the five of us in two cars, the three brothers travelled in the toyota so we could, well you know. My dad called it the smoking car.
Anyways we travelled across the country, going from state to state and ended up one evening in Salt Lake City. We stayed at a nice hotel within walking distance of that big assed church they have there.
Now we only spent the one night there but let me say that town gave me the creeps. Everywhere you go people have this kind of "life is great because we are the chosen ones" smug smile on their face.
The whole city had this Children Of The Corn/The Hills Have Eyes kind of vibe to it. We never said anything about it but I'm pretty sure i was not the only one of us that got that feeling. Now the city itself was clean, spotless really, which only added to the surreal nature of our visit.
For all its natural beauty the state of Utah is number one on my list of states I'm least likely to willingly visit.
