Obama's Waterloo???

Obama wants a health-care bill on his desk before the August recess.
It is the Democrats in Congress that will not allow this to happen. Obama wanted it done before the break so that the Congress men and women would not hear dissenting views from their constituents.
Obama was defeated by his own party. The Republicans have no power to stop any legislation.
Rasmussen poll indicates that the majority of Americans appose President Obama's health-care plan.
It also shows that 78% think it will increase middle-class taxes.
Obama's 1 hour infomercial on his socialized health-care failed. It is what brought the majority against him.
I believe there will be reform, but not socialized health care, like Israel has. I don't' want that, and nether does most Americans.

Yes Mat, May God bless America.
Keep our President in your prayers as well.

Paul has appeased the gods, so all is well. You can come out of your homes now.

Keep smiling :)

Here is a quote from my stepson Karl Knoke (he posted it on facebook) who is fighting for all of us over in Iraq.

"Its amazing to me, maybe I am just too liberal, but there is an inherent flaw in this current democracy, everyone cries about this administration, but news flash, the democratic process worked, the masses selected who they thought would be the best direction for this country. The house and senate or the problem, Obama for czar".

DRL said...

Thank him again for all of us, Cindy.
I hope I miss read his quote.
Yes he is more than liberal. That was a scary quote. That is the cry that got Hitler elected Chancellor for life. If Obama is made Czar of America, we are all doomed. And remind him, we are not a democracy, but a republic.

The future of this country is in the youth.

DRL said...

Yes, and the youth is even saying, they don't want socialized health care. They want reform, but not socialized care.
If the uninsured youth don't have insurance now, they will never have the choice in the future. I think Obama got the message, big time. Haaaaa

DRL...It sure goes against your theory that any one who is liberal is unpatriotic or unAmerican because I would say that risking your life for your country is about as patriotic as you can get!

DRL said...

Cindy, what part of 'thank you' did you not get. In fact I am willing to bet, you have never passed that on for me.

How patriotic is it to change the government structure to that of a fascist dictator??? What do you think a Czar is???????
Did he ever say that about George Bush???
You did not do a very good job as a mother, to raise someone that wants to destroy the government we enjoy! I think you are despicable.

DRL, I would have to say that's about the most tasteless and lowest comment I've seen written on this blog (and that's saying a lot). And as such I have deleted you as a member of this community. Have a nice day.

juliet said...

Really drl I know you don't respect anything I have to say but this is just another example of total belligerance on your part and the unfounded hurtful comments that follow. Get your self together.

Thank you, Karl, for serving this country. We do appreciate it, even if we don't always show it.

Being elected president of the United States does not import the power to do anything you want. The democratic process continues and the discussion, outcry and protest are all part of it. For the last eight years, we were constantly reminded that "dissent is the highest form of patriotism" (often incorrectly attributed to Jefferson). Now, one side in this debate is simply told to "shut up".

As for this particular issue at hand, I fervently hope that you never have occasion to rely on one of the current government healthcare plans or you may learn to not wish anything like the VA on those you are serving to protect.

RAC, you are such a baby! Kick me out as well, as a member of your little community as you did my brother DRL. I want nothing to do with this anymore. You can have it. You can continue with your socialist blog, as well as agreeing with terrorist. Chow!

What happened to not believing in censorship?Hit a little close to home for ya? Baby!

juliet said...

Ric, Matt and Drl this isn't about politics. If Drl would stick to politics we wouldn't have a problem here. This is about personal attacks and statements about people who that have no validity. Ric, I can not believe you would support him calling Cindy a disgusting mother. Why do you keep supporting and enabling DRL's behavior unless on some sick level it works for you to be the big defender.
Matt, you know Cindy she has been your family friend most of your life, do you really support that type of talk about her. Grow up. Political discussion are possible, look to other blogs for proof if you do not believe me, but attacking people on a personal level just does not work and it is lame and shows a lack of intellect. This is not about Politics so don't try to confuse the issue and give credibility to DRL's behavior.

Your wish has been granted.

mat, sorry but this has nothing to do with censorship. It's about nasty, hurtful comments made to one of our own. Becki is a mom and a good friend of Cindys. Ask her how she felt about it.

I have just read the whole mess and this is not the sisterhood aligning itself but...calling Cindy a despicable person is ignorant, immature and hateful.

Freedom of speech is exercising a right to engage in differences in opinion and on this blog I would hope those differences would be spoken with respect.

I took offense when Pat told me to stick to talking about my tatoo when I posted something conservative (don't even remember or care what it was about). Pat made it personal. But I got over it.

That seems to be the problem, we forget that our belief system, while personal to us, needs to be expressed in a nonpersonal way. Does that make sense?

I love our differences and I enjoy reading them. But they do get hateful and that is when a line is crossed. You all have a bond I don't share, don't throw it away. It's silly. Our background is what draws us together (Dean's Circle). It transcends all this other crap.

As the oldest I leave you with this...knock it off. Debate but don't insult, that serves no purpose.

[edit] Slander and libel
The common law origins of defamation lie in the torts of slander (harmful statement in a transitory form, especially speech) and libel[4][5] (harmful statement in a fixed medium, especially writing but also a picture, sign, or electronic broadcast), each of which gives a common law right of action.

"Defamation" is the general term used internationally, and is used in this article where it is not necessary to distinguish between "slander" and "libel". Libel and slander both require publication.[6] The fundamental distinction between libel and slander lies solely in the form in which the defamatory matter is published. If the offending material is published in some fleeting form, as by spoken words or sounds, sign language, gestures and the like, then this is slander. If it is published in more durable form, for example in written words, film, compact disc (CD), DVD, blogging and the like, then it is considered libel." The debate whether Internet blogs or Bulletin Boards are publishers is a key subject being addressed, whereas an Internet based community is more akin to conversations in a bar or pub, with content being written as an ongoing dialog which is generally not edited or regulated such as in the publishing industry.[7]

Wow, I just got back from the weekend away..didn't know I stirred up so much trouble. I was not trying to cause trouble, just pointing out once again to certain people that trying to pin labels and make generalizations about people because they don't believe the same way you do is so wrong. It's useless, I don't know why I keep trying ...some people are so narrow minded and judgmental. Rac, you didn't have to kick DRL off...let him keep showing his ass..he's making his own Karma. And BTY, I'm a great mom, raised 2 of my own , stepdaughter Jennifer since she was 2 and have had the honor of being involved in Karl and Michelle's lives for the past 6 years. Karl pretty much raised himself..and he did a great job at it. I've always encouraged my kids to be their own people and think for themselves. My oldest daughter belongs to a Pentecostal church and probably disagrees with my thinking alot but she is always respectful to me. I'm proud of the people that all of my kids have turned out to be.

And what pissed me off about Drl's comments was not him saying I was a bad mom but him twisting Karl's words around, misinterpreting them and saying he wants to destroy our government. DRL does not listen and he says ridiculous things....I would guess that living with him is pretty difficult.

Cindy said...

And Karl was being sarcastic when he called Obama czar...sheesh.
