Ric is either trying to look cool, or it is the old days of drinking at the bus stop.

Either he cant walk home or needs a magazine.

Ric, please close the door and light a match.

Since 2003, my wife Teresita and I drive to Pennsylvania to place flowers on my step-fathers (Dr. Paul Perdews) last and final resting place.

When we were leaving Pa. to return to NY, I saw a bus stop that looked like the one that we all can associate with. I pulled the car over. Asked my lovely wife to take a few pictures of me with my cell phone cam. Her respons was, "are you f&%$#@'n crazy"!

I was unable to post this on the blog due to my lack of computer skills. SO I sent these to my brother Dave (DRL), and in his wisdom, he as able to post these. Thanx bro!

Ric, did the bus ever come to snatch you away?:) These days on Guam they tried the latte stone type but, the kids get all wet during rainy season. The older type are better than what we have now. Sorry to say GovGuam is going down:(The Ordot landfill has been ruled into recievership, the feds are here cuz no one could do anything. At least not until the ruling but, now they can't do nothing at all and they wonder why.

Our schools are being shut down. Southern high was closed last week by the A.G.

What a lame Bus stop!! We had 3 wall seating, and great graffiti..How could anyone pass out in "that"???
Also, I didn't notice any "spy holes" for watching for parents to drive by..Those Pa kids need some learnin'!!

Jo arn't latte stones associated with death and burial. figures that they would use them to start the school day. It is really a scandle how the money is wasted and stolen on Guam. I've been with several International schools and we have good contract teachers and better facilities with much less money and it isn't because they are located in third world countries.

This bus stop looks great to me. I lived in Pittsburgh fall of 1975 and we didn't have any sort of bus stop on the street and it was coldddddddd. It is missing some space near the roof for hiding the chupas man.

LOL, I agree with Rod...I remember benches around all sides of the bus-stop. But TY Ric, that brought back a flood of memories. Red Rover Red Rover, send Doug over.
I remember, when I was punished, that was the place we were forbidden to go.the forbidden bus stop.
BTW..were we all into pain games back then? Seems like every game we made up, had some pain involved.

Yep Rod, this was one lame bus stop. No graffiti to speak of, inside or out. And no peep holes. Not even a single cigarette butt laying around. The kids that utalize that bus stop must be real squares, no signs of adventure were found anywhere.

Classic.

Pat I remember that game. It wasn't near as much fun when you were grounded and confined to quarters.

Speaking of going time for me to do likewise. Almost time for John Adams on HBO.

OK all, I did light a match, but the front of the bus stop blew away with a very big bang! That is why I am sitting there looking stunned.

(True story folks. When I was in basic training in the year 1979, there were out door latrines at the live fire ranges. Each latrine would allow about 10 soldiers to take care of business simultaneously (they were like very big outhouses). Inside this latrine was a big sign that read "Do not Smoke". A lone soldier had to use the facilities. While he was taking care of business, he lit up a smoke, and the place went up in a flash of light and heat. He was unhurt, but no longer sported eye brows or a mustache. I think his pride was hurt more than anything else. The drill Sgt.'s sure made an example out of him, in a funny kind of way)!

Juliet, my nephew is taking Chamorro at U.O.G. I think there's a seperation of theories. My father-in law, who's 84 yrs. old told me they were for houses to be built on and my nephew agrees. He'll graduate next year. His Chomorro chants are different so they're group is shunned upon. Too bad, same people:)
