Synchronicity is simply defined as a meaningful coincidence. Like deja vu, it is a phenomenon most of us have had at one time or another. In the interest of science I think we should share our synchronistic experiences with the group. Anyone? Ric?

I was reading Manly P. Hall's "The Secret Teachings of All Ages" one night. The chapter I was working on dealt with the Hebrew mystic science of gematria. In gematria each Hebrew letter has a numerical equivalent. By adding their letters you can get the numeric value for words too. The example Mr. Hall gave was the word messiah, which has a numeric value of 358.
The next day I turned on the news to find there had been an Air France flight that had crashed in Toronto. The plane had skidded off the runway and burst into flames. Miraculously all onboard survived. Want to know what the number of that flight was? You guessed it... Flight 358.
A woman I know was sitting at a red light on her way home. With her was her normally quiet and content infant son. When the light turned green the baby let out a blood curdling scream. Instead of proceeding thru the light she turned back to check on the child. At that instant he quit screaming just as quickly as he had started. The woman turn to face the intersection only to find a giant semi-truck had run the light at a high rate of speed. Had her son not started screaming when he did they would have been directly in the path of death and destruction.
RAC, I'm still having a bit of a time trying to ingest the true understanding of the word 'Synchronicity', maybe because I never experienced it, don't know?
Two memories do come to mind, yet I think they are more in the line of premonitions. 1) I had a dream of a street sign with the number 7410 in it. Bugged me for days, so I played that number in the NY Lottery, and won. (Haven't played the lottery since. I am not a gambler, as you will soon witness in Vegas). 2) Had of dream of a terrrible accident involving me, Dave and Sean. What I saw in the dream happened the following day while riding our bikes through some woods in Idaho.
I think I may be off target with the definitions, but do believe that our brains are electonically active, often acting as radio receivers. The whole Universe is filled and made up of electronicaly charged particals. Some of these particles travel through time and then back again. And our brains may act like radio recievers, allowing us to see things in the past, present or future?
Great post, Ric. I agree the definition of sychronicity can get a little cloudy. IMO my first example fits nicely. The second one is a little iffy.
Sometimes or actually quite often my mind's eye, I will see everything just like a dream but,the ending doesn't come out as I thought it would. I always tell the people I'm with, deja vu happening now:)
RAC'ster, I still believe that pi=3.14159. Gematria is a good read! You can't help but to believe that math plays apart of everything...everything after all is math!
rac, look up significant #'s in
our lives and see if they coincide.I do believe that mathematics at it's highest level means something bigger than what we know. Our brains run on dendrites and axons and the minute electric pulses that cross a miniscule liquid path is extraordinary. It blows my mind when I really think about it.
I definitely believe you guys are on to something about the whole numbers thing. At this point though, I've kind of swung to the other end of the spectrum. I try to look more at the big picture now. I found I was losing my bearings by focusing on the minute detail (like not being able to see the forest thru the trees). I'm still fascinated by all the detail, I just try not to let it distract me. To be honest it kind of makes my head hurt. I must be getting old. I'll have to leave all that hard thinking to you young people. ;-)
I have tickets to go see the Police in May. I will try to get my Synchonicity in order by then!
Sounds like you already have, Juls. ;-)
